free fridge, works mint. compressor seems to have a good charge still, and it was made in 1952, sold apr 17th, 1953.
i'll get more pictures tomorrow, the door is still at the guys place with the rest of the hardware.
need i mention a free fridge? PERFECT for beer/liquor :noel: :noel: :noel: :noel: :noel: :noel: :noel: :noel:

nice find
-
you have room for a fridge ???
add 1 keg
+ 1 tap and handle
= kegerator
otherwise
:'(
-
I bet it has the efficiency rivaling an internal combustion engine.
-
Kegerators are overrated, turn it as low as it will go and stock it with fine liquor or the swill of your choice
-
they probably used to keep . chopped up body parts in their :?:
-
oh LOL i was just kidding ... but yea that is a pretty cool fridge. i traded some kid a $8 bike one time for a almost brand new mini-fridge ;D (i guess he really wanted my bike) 8)
-
that thing will never fucking die. my parents have an IH coffin freezer that is probably as old, and it is still fucking silent and works like new, never been maintained. they've been through 2 or 3 fridges, but that lil ol IH keeps on trucking.
-
Amazing how engineering is supposed to be a betterprocess than just building something, then the stuff that was engineered falls to shit after its intended lifespan expires. I had a cheap TV, lasted 10 days after the 2 year warranty expired, fucking pissed me off, old shit my wife's dad gave me still crystal clear after 15 years
-

not really, it only draws around 6-7 amps based on the wattage
and jhonda, it had some cans/jars in it when i got it. vinegar too, still in the package. and a written in polish warsaw pickle jar
The amount of power it draws doesn't mean it's efficient.
Either way it's a cool fridge
-
Its a fucking tank of a fridge, likely better built and if the rats havn't chewed the insulation, better insulated than half the energystar bullshit they sell today.
-
Looks like a Pile of SHit. Figures u would own it :?:
-
my grandma had one big deal
-
damn, thats older than my dad
-

at least it works ;)
I helped someone move today and got enouf beer money for the rest of the month bitchhh

The reason it does not draw much amperage is because there is no deicing cycle and no low current running under the outside skin to keep condensation from forming. ;D

ZING!

holy shit! BRILLIANT

My grandpa has one of those in his garage. It had been sitting for YEARS unused. Plugged it in one day to make sure it was dead before throwing it away and the bitch kicked on and ran like a champ. So he kept it.

sometimes if i jerk off right after peeing it stinks

did you grab this in PA, around williamsport.
-
mine shat out about a week ago. didn't find that out till when you open the door you have a burning sensation in your nose and the smell doesn't vacate the house for hours. I can smell it right now with the door closed from 3 floors up. CL FTW BTW.

no, but there is always IH fridges people find and sell.
i got this one very local
Yeah, JW cause my grandfather recently passed away and were selling mostly everything in his house, and he has a really good condition fridge from way back.

Maybe nobody told you how its crazy inefficiency, even with 'better' freon, will cost more than a new fridge in a year or two. Kinda like a flathead from WW2 - it can take a beating, but gets 5mpg in the process...
