just a quick question i have. there is a civic out there that's for sale but its been in a collision upfront
any idea how much it's going to cost to have a new radiator support installed.
i found out i can get a new one for about $90 just need to know how much labor time and what's the average amount of labor rate a shop would usually charge.
i don't want to spend all that much money but i think the car is also a steal.
i don't have access to a welder, i can get the a/c cleared and evac. and such.

khmer muy cheat, bitch you betta recognise!
-
dude drill out the spot welds and put the new one on with a welder or self tapping screws its not anything crazy i have done it with the rad and ac condensor still in place
-
I have put them on with dry wall screws as a temp fix... drove like that for about 4 monthes then had it welded......
-
Alright install your own rivets got it.
-
well did it just fuck up the support or did it get into the aprons and rails? if it damaged those they have to be straightened or the new support wont fit right. and nothign with align up and your hood wont shit worth a fuck. and do cross measurements to keep it square.

the hood fits on fine as it is stock. it's an eg btw.
it was in a frontal collision. and the sides are fine as far as i can tell.
but i now want to get the car but the guy is now flaking on me.

if you had a way to get it around and if you took everything out and brought a shop the support they would install it for you for a few hours of labor

My radiator support is held on by only the bumper reinforcement bolts. The gnarled metal from drilling out the spot welds has been given the Rustoleum treatment. My whole front end is twisted, the bumper sits 1/2" too far to the left. I said fuck it.
