Title: no time to finish the whip. . . depressed/drinking
Post by: speedjunky01 on September 22, 2010, 09:29:10 PM
well i want to bitch a bit about how much of a pussy I am

I had my build done and ready to go in! d15b with vitaras and h beams and some PBT goodies  :noel:

i blew a tranny, so i decided to re-do the suspension while i was at it 100 bushings later and a few broken bolts I had it all together. I launch the car a few times and all is well raped 4-5 local vw guys . go to do a celeabratory burnout and POP diff blows up car lasted 45minutes :(

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi5.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy155%2Fspeedjunky01%2F92db4f38.jpg&hash=ae6ec37cd5aaaf6bdd5d3776745ff3f349cbe44c)

so i decided to say fuck it and pulled the stock z6 while i was at it and throw in the built d15b
my ex-gf needed a car so i got a civic and swapped it for her but she was a bitch about it and it wasnt "nice enough for her"  so I waisted a few days/weeks on that thing (also had to fix front support and needed a crazy amount of cleaning)

so school got rocking and now i have a built engine with fesh turbo parts and a bult tranny sitting ready to go in Im depressed i look at it every day going into the house

just sitting in my garage. . . .

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi5.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy155%2Fspeedjunky01%2F37caca3e.jpg&hash=a8364d0065548559e6e685f84b84e5f4c73600c9)

I fucking feel your pain sir! I have too much job and school. I still haven't finish my car cause of ECU and some major leak from the PS. I have it since 2 weeks now and no full throttle yet and no boost  :'(

I go to sleep at 10h30 and wake up at 3h30 to fucking work... I learned today that I have 2 exams at the same time on October 18th.

The only good thing happening right now is that I finish school in December.  Software Engineering Baccalaureate

Fix you shits bro!  :P

I'm more guilty than anyone have sleeved b16a block built by my dumbass, caged 90 civic with fiberglass front end, doors, twin disc,water/air cooler

Economy basically held me back since I need a couple more very pricey parts to finish it but most of the parts I have had for 3+ years now. Reality is it will sit for another 3+years.

damn chris 3 YEARS?

Problem is being able to sell things anymore buying them is easy but I'll take the ecu's on the cheap if you get sometime to go snag some up.

It's basically the same build that ran 9.40's that I worked on back on in the day with a couple modern twists. If I can get the car done before I turn 35 I'll be happy.

I have 5 cable b16a transmissions ready to take beating.

yeah i think i hear you the honda scene was dead when i was getting into it 5-6 years ago and now its just been eaten and turned to work shit

everyone wants stuff for 30 bucks

ive had kids offer me 20 bucks for a street tune im like really man? just cuz ebay sells a chip for 17 bucks doesnt mean it costs that to get the job done right. . .

My guess is I need around another 5k in parts to have it the way I want it. No short cuts I want this thing once its dialed in to just keep making passes. It will be violently underpowered compared to the rest of the cars in the class but I'm just hoping to get the car to be reliable/fun. The original goal was 500.

I have owned the block for damn near a decade old rs machines sleeved block.

wow thats bad ass man

for that power could prob sell and do sohc and vitara?

would take a hit on reliability but cost/rebuild ratio is good

Parts wise yes labor wise no. If you own a dyno you are doing alright. Hence why you won't be seeiing J davis posting too much anymore since they finally got one.

The only way shops are staying afloat is owning a dyno thats the truth.

They just got one, very deserving group of guys who have a tool that is worth every penny. It's imo the only true way to stay in business since the parts world is so over consumed with crap.

Thanks, but it the oil line that are shot. They were rusted to dead and I think  I hit them when I installed the rear motor mount... I tried to temp fix it with JB Weld, but without success. I'll redo all the lines when I have time...

Robb I need stuff  :P

Speaking of which, if I can figure out some naggary and it works for the grand wizard I may actually have a chance to snatch up a little gt and he351 love from the trailerpark. Otherwise I will bother you for it as soon as I am collecting enough WIC/EBT to trade for homedepot turbo parts.
