Title: Load tester
Post by: Full Spool on September 29, 2010, 12:24:57 AM
Anyone every built one? Im not talking about a resistor and a cheap DMM but something that looks decent and easy to use?

I'd like to try to build one if it's feasible for the money, what I am trying to mimic is listed on this site.

Any input would be nice, thanks in advance.

Looks pretty ripped for $40, going to be hard to beat that.

I take it you want to put a specific load on a battery and see what it's voltage drops to, as an indication of charge/health/capacity?

Yeah Im not being a nigger about the price, I just wanted to try and build one for the hell of it.

It discharges at 500mah with a push button.

And the other switch option sets it for 1amp with a push button that shows voltage drop across the battery.

30 amps or 35 amps, that is the question......

Although the little Turbocharger might do the job.
