I dunno bought a used plx m300. put the thing in the way i got it. it reads air when costing. lean at around 75% throttle in any gear I have a completely stock ecu on an almost stock motor. damn thing reade in 11s and 12s at idle some times. I figure it's shot but for any new people that come here figure it would help if anyone could tell me wtf
-
Sounds like it is bad or your setup has issues.
It should be lean when coasting if you are not opening the throttle at all, because of fuel cut.
Most stock maps are actually pretty rich, like mid 12's to higher 11's fom what I have seen.
If the engine is indeed idling at 11 to 12 at times, you should definitely be able to hear a difference and smell the raw fuel.
-
Souds like you have a bad o2, but how are you powering it? Cig lighter, or straight from the battery? I know they say for the most precise you are supose to use the same ground as the ecu
-
power out the fuse box and ground right above it. I have read a few people did it this way with no issues but yet again I always have issues
-
probably just a bad o2. I think they are like 60 at the auto parts store. I set my plx up in my my clock

your links = fail ha ha

is there a way to test the sensor. i have had the same sensor in my AEM for like 3 years, still reads, but is it still accurate?
-
thats what I wanna know and no after three years it probably isn't I've read to change them about every 6 months
-
Buy a new sensor from autozone for like 50 bucks
You run alot of racegas or is it really close to the turbine? Limits it life
-
links work now
I was switching my photosuckit account around....
-
This is why I love the Innovate setups. None of the other controllers I have seen have any diagnostic routines built in.
I have been using the same sensor for a couple of years to tune cars. I ran one in my GSR for several months as well. Pretty sure I am going to either have my other LC-1 fixed, it has seen better days lol, or pick up another to run in the daily.
If you are unsure about the condition of the sensor, you can always pick one up for a reasonable price.
-
well shit. i prob should get a new one just to tune with, and keep the old one in for when i am just driving around.
-
They get wierd sometimes. I had one that would read 11.5 at wot no matter what I could lean the car out until it would miss fire and the sensor would still read wrong.
I got a new one and it worked correctly after that. They only cost about $50 I grab a new one every few months now.
-
They're about $50 online, but every autoparts had them for around 80 or so. I went to at least 10 different parts stores.
-
i need the AEM uego one. need to look for the cheapest place to get it.
-
I've never personally used one of those, but everytime someone brings up the AEM units, JD always says that they read off quite a bit from most other widebands.

you can test the aem dont know about other brands tho O2 Sensor Test - How to check to see if your aftermarket O2 sensor is bad (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mb4VmDd0ao#ws-lq-lq2-hq-vhq)
-
dude, thats a great vid. i am going to have to pull the sensor out of the exhaust and try that.
-
thats awsome info Good find :D
-
With the LC-1 I have it will give a code if the sensor is bad. :noel:
-
fuck the LC-1. i have a first run, it sucked ass.

Maybe try recalibrating it?
MantisX

MantisX
Plx m300 self calibrates, So no calibrating is needed.
-
Anyone know of a generic replacement for the AEM Uego?
-
reread the thread the part # and cheap place to them is right there. ;D
-

It's still more accurate than that AEM POS you have.
Also, Klaus warranties all of his defects. It doesn't matter if you are the original owner, have a receipt, etc, if it's one of the early ones with the glitchy analog outputs consider it replaced.

Dude Phillipe is a good guy to. Innovate has repared my lm-1 twice. Both times it was my fault but there were no questions asked on their end they just fixed it and sent it back.
-
i love my LC-1... never had any problems and made sure to flash the firmware
been running it for over a year w/o issue

zeitronix ownz all , and uses the same o2 sensor as 17014. when I have a bad o2 sensor it automatically goes to full lean after warmup. www.zeitronix.com (http://) (http://)

Man that doesn't look to bad. I wouldn't mind trying one out.
