Sunroof wouldn't seat back down, so i took it out and put it on the work bench, turns out the plastic arm piece on one of the lift mechanism's snapped, went on majestic honda and you have to buy the entire cable etc assembly, but it seems you can't even buy it anymore. Discontinued possibly?
What are my options?
Get a sun roof plug?
-
Silicone sealant. Close the roof permanently.

With the entire bracket/ bucket assembly still installed?
-
Duck tape.
-
find a used one u fuck :mexi:
-
majestic doesnt even seem to carry older parts anymore, but I bet if you check around you can either find a used one or buy a new one through somebody else.
-
i got lucky and found one that wasn't broken.
They all seem to be broken these days. I think I would just plug the roof and get rid of all the weight in the wrong place.
-
jeff frank had a pluged roof in his weezie it looked pretty good.
-
Just go fuck your wife.
-
Fuck, that happened to my '86, I had no idea they kept the retarded plastic linkage on the newer ones.
CAREFULLY remove the good one and have it made out of metal. Thank me by letting me fuck your wife.

I wouldn't be to excited to have to close up a sunroof. I use the one in my eg coupe almost everyday. Now that it's starting to cool off a bit i probably will use it everyday.

I used the HF equivalent of the Seig X2 to make a G35 MAF flange last week.

It turned out really well considering I didn't try to true up the bed (straight out of the box action), and used a 1/2" end mill I fished out of a bucket at the scrapyard. And didn't have a proper vise, etc, just bolted the shit to the bed as shown. It made some nice .050" cuts on the burned up end mill, only got chattery and less precise when hogging out the deep holes where the end mill's flutes were submerged.

Thats what hot rodding was founded on. We're gonna see it come full circle with alot of these hondas pushing 20 years old.

Yeah, I'm expecting to look into duplicating some of the plastic shit in the near future.

You read the recent thread on modifying F23 valves to fit a D16? Yeah, it's really a huge fucking waste of time with how cheap valves are.
Which is exactly why I'm going to do it on a future build, in the true hotrod spirit, in honor of the hardcore pipe hitting motherfuckers who got the job done before there was a Summit catalog. I'm going to steal the best and brightest of ideas, and do it as cleanly as possible.

Can't remove the good one, the assembly its sitting in is spot welded together and i would have to take it apart just to remove it. Bukaroo bonanza or whatever said he has one in his carport he was about to throw away that i could steal the parts off of. I told him i would kick him some money to dissasemble that assembly and ship it to me since he is poor.
