Title: Im a gay ass noob that cant make a intro post
Post by: 1genrex on October 07, 2010, 10:25:51 PM: New to the site - drawn by the OCZC D15B rods. I need some for my D15B4 powered 87 CRX HF. I'm installing megasquirt now & have most of the parts for a diy turbo setup. I have lots of turbo experience so no turbo questions. Just need those rods so I can show how a low budget D15 can stomp my son's & his friend's B16s & B18s. I pm'd Tom also.

Just talked to some of Tom's family they are in total shock. He seemed like he finally was clean and running things like he could be old demons come back hard.

I know he has tons of these rods at the shop so we need to sell them to help support his wife/kid since he was not about the money but the sport so he is hardly a guy who has a savings account

RIP TOM oczc was one of the greats

nobody was home or at least nobody answered may call yesterday, didn't feel right leaving a message.

I'm no where near young, nor immature. I wasn't EXTREMELY close with Tom, but we talked 2 or 3 times a week. Rarely about this car shit, mostly about life, kids, and such. There is so much more to life than having a fast car, and making some kick ass rods on the cheap. He never wanted to really profit from those, just do a little more than break even, and in turn help out all his friends with their builds.
I'm not looking past your "kind gesture" sir, I am seeing it for what it is. You wanting some fucking rods so you can be "COOL" to your son and his friends. Since Tom was selling them at such a deal, even double his price is like half that of the next comparably made rod. You don't see the grief here. You aren't worried SICK about what Stella is going to get herself into. Tom wasn't the only one with demons... fuck....
I don't mean to be harsh, I'm just grieving right now. I've lost a close friend to something that I thought he had beaten. Fuck....this is hard to even talk about....sorry
