I just boosted my integra and bolted up the downpipe to the stock cat and muffler. It is horrible. The car wants to fall on its face below 4500rpm. Thinking about ditching the complete exhaust and running it out the front bumper. Thoughts?

why the fuck would you run something so restrictive ?
take that shit off and run open DP. when it gets too loud make a 2.5'' exhaust with a couple of resonators
leave your dump vented

My next POS will have a 3" DP into a stock exhaust with a cutout. Fuck a big exhaust... VA sucks about that kind of shit.

I've ran both and I prefer to hear my un-amped music, so I deal with the cutout's extra maintenance. Just make sure they are decent mufflers if you go full exhaust. THe cheaper types use louvered tubes instead of perferated, and won't help much with WOT noise.
And yes, both are still more quiet than a fart can.

Ya, same here. Full 3" with a long straight thru glasspack in the center of the car. Its way quieter than ur average civic with a fart can.

Also I ran a ebay 3in exhaust with no cat on my boosted Eg it was quite all the way up until the waste gate opened. ;D
Fucking exhaust was 85 bucks shipped cant beat it.

Yea, Ive got the eBay 3" too. But mine was 150 shipped with the test pipe. Ive got a 2.5" downpipe to 3" exhaust, with the silencer still in (because I daily it, and didnt want to hear the car). Its really quiet with the silencer. And when the dump opens, its that much more drastic in a change in note. :)

What about running something like this just outside the front bumper??? Its a 2.5" outer diameter and probably 1.5" inner. Kinda gay?

It never saw the track, it was my 300whp/15psi DD at the time. It was just done to be the first vitara block to hit 500whp. The best pull to redline it had was 487whp cause it wouldnt hold traction. The best power it saw was 499whp at 6k then the tires spun. I'm sure that was a 515-520 pull.

2-3 years. It was when James at speed factory had the record under 500. My engine had 20k 300whp miles on it plus making that power and was still running a month ago till a bunch of gas got dumped into the oil and it spun a bearing.
