Put a new graphics card in my old dell dimension 4700, worked great installed the new drivers and changed the resolution to the native resolution of my new monitor. Shut it off and now it just turns on to a black screen with a blinking cursor, can't get into Bios tried numerous keys? any ideas????

Do you hear any beeps?
-
nope
-
tried pulling the new graphics card?
-
yes, still get the blinking cursor
-
try removing the battery out of the mother board, maybe replacing it, and restart
-
When you press the power, are all the fans coming on/ staying on? Is there any lights on the motherboard?
-
fans all come on, lights on mother board, replaced battery too
-
Have you tried a different monitor? Can you test the current monitor on a working PC?
-
finally got the boot disk to run no idea how, fixed corrupted files, win everything was still there. Just had to disable diskette drive in bios(apparently it resets when you replace the battery in the motherboard) all good now, thanks for the ideas
