I've been contemplating turboing my 96 accord DD, but I'm looking around for turbos and every one is asking a shitload of money for used shit turbos. when did 14b's start going for $200+? I should have held onto mine I'd be a millionaire. people are listing 1g dsm bovs for $60+ Wtf?
-
Ghetto turbo shit got popular, the supply of old broken down turbo cars hasn't grown any.
-
+ inflation. O0
-
go to junkyard
-
Nogs that have this shit are broke, and would rather die than sell cheap.
However recently I was a few hours late to buy a NEW 60trim T3 for $200, and it even had the outlet flange machined to a 2" coupler lip. Fuck that pissed me off.
I'm going to try capitalizing by modding oddball injectors. They're better than the old junk, and take little time & money to resell them.

I'm going to continue to look around for stuff it just kinda caught me off gaurd and pissed me off. some dsm 310s were listed on eBay for $100. I wanna wake this accord up but I don't wanna pay $300 for a used OEM shit turbo
-
Yea, it's getting crazy. I got pissed off when I was building the GRM car. I was looking for the 60mm tial knock off bov and they jumped in price. You see to be able to get them for $40-50 new, now they are over $100
-
I got a set of blue top dsm injectors I'd sell for a $100 bill... Haha!
-
I might take those off your hands and hold them for a few months until they start selling for 200

Fortunately I found a junkyard that only wants like $50-60 for any turbo, so I'll probably go there and grab whatever I can find that is decent, probably something off a Saab.
Two years ago I picked up a K03 off craigslist for $40, with the idea of making an insta-spooling torque machine out of my 97 accord. I had to sell my kit that I put together, someone bought the turbo for $75.
Apparently turbos that need rebuilds are worth $50 now.

Some GM turbos have a $400 CORE charge.
Cheap turbos and good used are under or around $200.
Good new brand name turbos are 599+
Junkyard turbos are $60+10 core.
been that way for years around here.
Normally when turbos are cheap they usually either fail shortly, or are already bad...

The turbo shit we all have been using as currency for nice prices has caught on to the common crowd. So that means they are greedy cocksuckers. :-\

There is a reason as stated everyone found out about turbo honda's and prices got all jacked up for things that never should be expensive and vise verse. That helped to my exiting the honda scene with quickness this year, that and every dip shit on the block with $3k can buy a built turbo honda and goes around ruining it for everyone by driving like Mario Andretti.
-
Yea they just found out
-
fuck this i wouldnt spend that kinda mess making my crappy one fwd hondas "fast" anymore
-
junkyard prices=flat rate go to them for your rhmt needs :Jew:
