Title: best tuning option for genesis?
Post by: weirtech on November 25, 2011, 09:43:44 AM
just doing a bit of research as this is a car i'm going to be targeting for fabricated parts.  since i'm clueless with tuning, i'm looking for opinions on the options for tuning on the hyundai genesis 2.0L and 3.8L motors.  it looks like either an aem fic or a haltech stand alone (yet to be released).  what do you guys think is the best option for moderate gains as compared to serious tuning capability?

Contact "Beyond Redline" in Green Bay Wi. Talk to Luke. www.beyondredline.com (http://www.beyondredline.com)  They have a proprietary reflash they have been using and getting perfected for the Genesis. Other Piggybacks such as ones for evos etc have been used as well but dont work very well with the variable cam timing.

If I remember right dynapac or some dyno manufacturing company made a piggyback that worked real well with the 2.0t

You'll keep that sort of horseshit out of the technical forums, thanks.

Ive been following this
http://www.gencoupe.com/2-0t/46730-crack-stock-ecu.html (http://www.gencoupe.com/2-0t/46730-crack-stock-ecu.html)

apparently they have done a lot of code and evoscan is finishing their part. I wouldnt mind owning one but waiting for them to come down in market and someone have flash tune working.
