Title: Suggestions for 3" Ek 3dr Exhaust
Post by: imburne on December 08, 2011, 03:57:27 AM
Need something dirt cheap and was looking forward to a ebay special before I noticed the 3" full exhausts were for 92-95 only.

Currently I have a pull me over 3" open dp and dump tube. I would not mind keeping the dump open but would like a dirt cheap exhaust or something I can fab up that will make mine much quieter.

Thanks for the input.

My teg's exhaust is a mix of rhmt test pipe, ek b-pipe, and gsr axle-back. Get the 92-95 and add some material. Not like an ebay exhaust will fit well before alterations anyways.

So is this truly a 3" exhaust or just a 3" tipped muffler? This is the only one on ebay I have found for 96-00 hatchback that's 3".

No

try this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Cat-Back-Exhaust-N1-SS-Honda-Civic-96-00-Hatchback-/120822511772?fits=Model:Civic&hash=item1c2195389c&item=120822511772&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr (http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Cat-Back-Exhaust-N1-SS-Honda-Civic-96-00-Hatchback-/120822511772?fits=Model:Civic&hash=item1c2195389c&item=120822511772&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr)

all 3" except the 2.5" flange for the cat.

Cut it off and weld in your own 3" flange and work your way up to the turbo.  :noel:

Or talk to Adam with mandrel-bends and see if he will give ya a deal on this;

or

Chose the muffler and weld.  :noel:

Or just get the egay kit and contact Adam on the 3" flange and flex piping.  :noel:

I was gonna suggest a VRS kit, but that Chinese crap on fleabay is dirty dirt cheap.  It is also usually pretty thin, but not that it matters if all you are after is cheap.  It does fit halfway decent from what I have seen though.

The setup form Mandrel Bends is also nice.

I had/have a VRS exhaust kit. Fits well, I welded most of mine together but they give you enough clamps that you don't need to.

Agreed.  I have done 3 different systems with their kits.  I need to make if 4, but I just don't have any money.  lol.

Mine is for sale, but unless you're close to where I am, shipping probably wouldn't be worth it.

i have bought 3 ebay exhausts... one for my 93CX, 97ITR, and del Sol. all have fit damn well. surprisingly infact. they do have that ricer ass N1 muffler tho. i have never even tried to run with with that gay ass silencer in it, and when turboed on all 3 cars, sounded nice, without rice...

the GVR4 will be getting the china ITR exhaust cut up, and probably a Magnaflow/Vibrant straight threw muffler. just because im too cheap to buy another ebay exhaust to modify then still have an N1 muffler.

I ended up with the one I posted up after the seller returned my messages. Was very impressed with it as I thought I was going to have to scrap the entire resonator section for being 2.5inch. Turns out its just one side that only needs about 2 inches cut off to get back to the 3" pipe. I will have to mod the shit out of it where it hits the cat though. Thankfully my cousins opted to help as hes dying to show me his skills.
