I've seen schedule 10 china ramhorns and topmounts that work pretty well, actually. They look like they were stick welded.

Yea JD, my GRM car top mount is made from sch10 and I'm almost certain I could hang the whole car from it.

Actually it looks like they were welded with a pulse mig and then they go over it after with a pulse tig.
