You plan to decap and resell I guess?

How many do you have in that bag? From the picture I estimate about 100  O0

NOG price on a set?

88 total. I plan to decap then flowmatch them like ID does. I just bought a fuel lap FPR and marren damper for my test rig. The only prob is they won't fit Hondas until I turn down the inlet, then they'll fit just like stock. I have a couple uscar-to-obd1 adapters, so they will be plug and play on Hondas. I'll definitely be running these on all my personal cars.

For price I'd have to consult with Sewell, we're going to be running a racket. Definitely cheaper than any other cleaned/matched high-flow saturated injectors.

The only one I tested so far flowed 705cc, but at cold temps so they may flow more. As-is they'd be ID800's if ID was to name them.

In other words, enough for 400whp at ~85% or so. Regardless you can do the math at RC's website.

ID800?

I was hoping closer ID1000 or higher.  :noel:

Any possibility of any higher flowing ones?

Here's the thing, I saw someone selling modded crown vic injectors, which are the same or smaller. They flowed 840cc, so I'm just hoping the 20* temps affected my bench drastically.

In any case, once I get Tom his injector controller, he'll be able to get you noglets "ID1000" size injectors. Probably bigger, too.

If you mean their $49 Siemens 80lb'ers, they'll be cheaper and spray better. Just keep in mind I'm going to be turning down 88 injectors, cutting off 88 restrictor caps, then flow matching 88 injectors at 3 different duty cycles. Price will be determined, mainly because I don't want to bend you nogs over a barrel, nor do I want to work for free. :P

I forgot to mention I turned down some Denso and Bosch injectors I plan on running in my DD. My grampa's lathe works well so far. So the machining side of things will be fine once I get the lathe a live center.

Ill be in for a set. And if Sewell can make something close to 2000cc, Ill be in for a set of those as well.

i dont see the problem there?

better question is: will they fit the green 1991 Galant VR4 parked in my driveway?  :noel: :Jew:  if i bought some i would be lookin for 550+whp E85 injectors... (already have 450/560/680cc injectors for it)

They should fit a VR4, but you may have to shim the fuel rail. They will be 48mm from rail to seal, DSM's are ~43mm.

Denso 24lb'ers before:

If you are still using mineral spirits I'm pretty sure that that flow number is low.  If those are the 040 core it's a nominal 820cc at 43.5 psi.

If you really want to know send them to me,we have an actual flow bench. I just got done decaping 100 injectors on the lathe and then flowing/matching them.

FUCK YOU!

I want a set!

No chance of getting high-tech and matching them according to dead times, amirite?
Title: Re: Santa came late this year...
Post by: HiProfile on December 30, 2011, 09:58:29 AM
I just said I'd be matching all 88. I won't be going as crazy as ID has, but just ask Tom about how extensive they test them currently. You'd be surprised.

We're thinking $449/set for Tom's larger injectors, $425 for mine.

The price will probably be HALF that or less for 4.

So about for $225/4 for Tom's large injectors?

How large is large?

What batt offsets would be used for these?

When will they be available?

How do you think they "Match" the dead times?? Its not that high tech, lol.  Marketing :)
Title: Re: Santa came late this year...
Post by: HiProfile on January 03, 2012, 12:46:18 PM
We're still unable to accurately test flow. Tom and I are kinda working together but independently. His should be the same as ID1000's, so ~880cc. Mine should be ~725cc. A member here has offered to test some on an ASNU bench.

Batt offsets will basically match ID and FIC's numbers since they're virtually the same cores. Not exactly, but very close. The injector controller I'm building will let us flow with deadtime figured in, so it can be tested "dynamically". Had to get at least one buzzword in there. Tom told me they don't even check deadtime anymore, they just flow/match them dynamically. Marketing is right.

Russ, you'd have to PM Tom about price. I know Tom was going to include top hat extenders. I will say you're near the ballpark.

I didnt say that they dont match deadtimes.  The amount of data points is smaller now, ie from 10 to 3.

Simplified spoon feeding comming up.....

Basically if you match an injector at full flow, and then match and injector at 2 more points, say 3ms and 7ms. They will be matched by deadtime.  There really only is 2 variables in how much fuel an injector will flow when pulsed , how much they flow and how long it takes for them to open and close, ie latency/dead time/ blah blah.  If the injectors all flow the same at full flow, that means the injectors flow the same so your down to the other variable, latency.  There is some other stuff(like high and low slope on the new ford ecus, etc etc) but for old honda ecus this is the basics of it.

Whats the possibility you guys could do 1600-2000cc injectors??? Im gonna need a set for the hatch. I think its time to start putting this hoe back together.

I'm going to try pressing the plunger into the armature like some other companies do. It should increase flow a lot, but I don't have much hope for it tho.

The chance of making it possible means you have to do this very precisely and/or in large batches. I don't have a supplier let alone the money to invest in a pallet of injectors.

High and low slope is just a method of dealing with alinearity as injector pulsewidth decreases.  Set the high slope to match injector flow, and breakpoint/low slope is a quick and easy trial and error, but low slope is always a little higher than actual flow.
