My friends are more like "is that the turbo?" no, it's the god damn power steering pump!

The F2D is definitely unusual. You gave all that money so Bisi can highlight his hair, and you got hosed with the wrong parts and still have a weak tranny.
We have a saying that "Hindsight is always 20/20", and I know you're doing a budget build, but I'd recommend a b-trans for the future. And use the Quartersports H2B kit. In any case, cool shit.

I would just run a b-series trans. You don't even need an adapter plate, and clutches are easy. Takes some fab, but you got a mig so nothing to worry about.

Over thinking it. The f/h series transmissions were making 8 sec passes a decade ago in california with no aftermarket support. Welded diff on a 150 dollar junkyard accord trans was the recipe most ran. The cars really havent gotten that much faster in the last 10 years. Plus the straight f/h swap is straight forward only difference is cutting/fitting the shifter cable/shifter box assembly. Zip tie trick on them and your golden
The only reason h2b got popular was for naturally assiprated vehicles.

Accord transmission with a 5.2 FD is also great for all motor. Cable shift is what it is, its not my favorite but people make it work successfully.

Some company back in the day made a kit so you could run a shift linkage with an f/h series trans but it never caught on. Only saw it once at the track not sure if it was due to poor fitment/design etc but it never caught on
There is one honda trans that uses cable shifters that is a total piece of crap.
