Nah, I wouldn't sweat it like the craziest place you've ever heard of, but it's just one of those in the middle spots where anything *could* happen. The probability of it happening is about 40% (depending on what you park out the open on a frequent basis), but don't trip if the job is good.

If your civic is worth something to you I say keep it garaged. Especially 92-00 models which seem to be the hottest ride to steal. I'm pretty sure they will be targeting the newer stuff too but I mostly see those gens taken priority. Garage it. Mine was stolen twice from the previous owners and none with me. Always garaged.

That is b/c they are easy to steal, all you need is a knife.  :noel:

Temecula isnt bad... look off hwy 79... worth it = win

Murietta is full of old peeps, a little closet to LA than diego.

I haven't lived there, but my family is from Whittier, and when my grandparents retired and sold the house, they lived off Temescal Canyon Rd at Glen Ivy for years....  man... that place has changed.

Anyways... I avoided LA for two reasons:

Too close to all the Mexico BS that's been going on... either stolen shit like cars being that much closer...
 or the Cartels/drugs...

I know drugs are everywhere... but think about it:  a hot spot for cheap brick brown mex grass with lots of people dying and cartels involved?  yeah.. not for me.  I'd rather be in Oakland as I have before. (E 60th / San Pablo area.  If you know the Ghetto against Emeryville.. you know what I mean.  if you don't, go visit sometime.. gunshots guaranteed in ~15-25 min intervals).

Torrance is okay.  Not the greatest.  Just like all cities, some good and some bad areas.  Highly unlikely a volvo or bmw will get stolen.  I threw $5k wheels on my one of my prior and daily driver and drove it all over the hood, south central, watts, compton not excluded. When it comes to a luxury car, insurance is your friend.  I'm sure you have full coverage, they take it you upgrade.

Temecula is nice, but fck the drive.  If you don't mind a bit of commute, I'd look into something like Cerritos.  Thirty miles away, but a decently nice city.  You'll go through hell on the 91 though.  Carson might be okay, but go to a nice part.  Close to torrance, but it depends on what parts you stay.  Thefts occur and if it's not a fixed up honda it'll be for sound systems.

Torrance is fine. LA is not bad at all, just stay out of South Central.

I still prefer San Diego over anywhere in LA though.
