It's actually a 5 6 or 7 variant...    And if I remember correct this one takes either the big NATO round, or the 762 round...  I forgot to ask;  I'll ask when I pick it up.

Overall it's in good shape, comes with bayonet.  Bolt is nice and broken in, the other he had was kind of rough.   The wood has been replaced at one point it seems, I need to look further into that.  But the #'s on it all match, so no mix and match parts gun for me.

I'll do one of three things:
Leave it alone
Make a custom stock
Get an aftermarket stock

Just need to start looking at what's available.   I at least want a pikatinny rail to mount my 3-12x optics.

I believe it's a #4 model:

Check out model 4... It's that one.

.303 I believe, could be the NATO round but didnt ask.... Just picked between two; gonna try and pick it up tomorrow.

Got a different friend with a vast assortment of more iron for sale.  It pays to have good friends :). And a neighbor that owned the only gun store in town my whole life :)

Model #4 MK1

Ordered a few hundred rounds (hollow point and fmj) and a monte Carlo stock last night.

Can't wait to start hucking lead down at some targets... I love my friends mossin that shoots the good ol 762x54r....  This 303 bullet is a little longer, casing a little longer but not as fat.

Haha, buddy had two for sale; he was selling them for a friend, and I wanted to secure one for myself...

Very solid gun, simple bolt design, 10rd removable clip...  I wanted pick of the litter.

If someone comes in person I can get the other for 240.  I'll even run the SN thru the local pd if u want... I trust the source so I didn't even bother.
