I'm working on getting the He351ve in the mix on my car.
So if I do this
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi653.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fuu254%2F92CXyD%2F100_0702.jpg&hash=a654710738e8f59a2557255a4365e46062d1567e)
I have to move radiator and cut a lot in the new radiator support .
If I do this

I do not have to move the radiator, and I have almost direct line to the exhaust.
Problem I see is may have weird oil drainage angle.
What do you Nogs think?
-
I think the thrust bearings will last about 2 minutes and then you will have a garbage turbo like that.

So what is the min. angle I should use? :noel:
-
No more then about 15-20 degrees from horizontal in any direction.
-
i believe garrett suggests no more than 15 degrees.
the twin charge setup i did a few years back was 10 degrees.

Russ
For an "engineer"....
You are a TOTAL nigger.

That is all
PS: My goal today is to incorporate nigger in context in every post on rHMT today. Its been easy so far

I was going to add a thought here but Brian covered it.

Troll post?

What about changing the radiator to the VW one that fits under the front t bar?

Thought about this until I got the turbo in and a lot of it tucks under the support.

Radiator supports are overrated anyway

It was brand new, free for me. :noel:

Please tell me you are going to support that silly turbo from something other then just the flange on the manifold.

Yeap the compressor housing is up against the supercharger all nice and snug.

This thread smells like anus

i dont know why you want to over complicate the boost process so much.
-
Wait, you can weld yet haven't moved your core support?
$17 front end. fuck value depreciation.

You dont need to hack your tubs all to shit either. Visualize where you need stuff to go and destroy whatever is in the way.
-
thats what i would do. probly stronger then those flimsy rad supports anyways. pussy

With it located like that in the pic, what about looking for a radiator that can fit under the front rad support. Im sure theres something out there.
With all the turbo builds on the internet, your avoiding the only two routes: Blow too much money for a simple fix, OR cut and weld like rhmt pipe hitting mother fuckers do to make room O0 :mexi: :noel:

Seriously mind blown this thread exists. Obvious troll. I'm sure.
Hell, if you wanted to you could probably sit that son of a bitch sideways and tuck it under the support. Maybe just jb weld the rad cap shut and get one of those tube things with the cap on em to put up high somewhere. I dont fucking know. It's your car but i highly suggest going full retard and thinking outside the box a little so we can fap to compound boost rippers.
Edit: Those rear mount (anus affiliated?) turdblow setups get their oil pulled with a scavenge pump (wha?). The core support isn't doing shit. it's just.....there. A fine looking technological marvel of recycled Japanese toaster oven shaped into a thin strip. Relax. I'm sure more people have died from driving stupid or getting broke off by a shark hitting full boost than no radiator core support. Get a tucked radiator or buy a small bar and plate and have someone mod the tanks. I dunno. Do something. that whole thing about single cams being more aerodynamic is bullshit.
