Decided to ditch the BP all together. I am torn between using an F20c or a 3SGTE.
I already have an F20c just sitting here so that would be the main reason I am considering it.
3SGTE can easily make the power levels that I want, Plus, no need for an adapter plate, I just bolt the bitch up.
Or post up any crazy ideas u might have.
-
3sgte or fuck you.
+ Honda management
-
Just out of curiosity why did you ditch the BP?
I'd probably run the F20.
How much power do you want to make?
-
Shut your f20 piehole, hondafag.
I need 3s porn. I've got a 3s Breakout board for ms2 ill sell you. Should work with ms3 with some Hood swank.

Diesel SMART car motor. OFFROAD BEAST!!!
-
Fuck it, i'll just put an LS4 in it :noel:
That'd be awesome!
-
Fuck all these other ideas. Just make an adapter and bolt in the f20. They make great power in stock form, with boost of course.
-
you can get a 3sge for cheap and they'll hold about the same amount of power + big port heads on the OG 3sge ;DDD
-
Actually the first Gen has the tvis and the massive ports. The third Gen beams is pricy as shit but the best 3s motor is the WRC 3sgte. That's the sorted out non shit motor That has no crank issues

st 205 wrc or the one out of the caldnia. Might be better if you can find someone willing to just sell a long block or maybe you can recoup some money off of all of the homo toyota turbo shit attached to the block.
or if you're going to end up fabbing shit anyway... I've seen a lot of first gen 3sges for like 300-400 dollars. None up right now, though.

blocks are fine cranks develop hairline cracks, oil pumps have a tendency to die/run low pressure because toyota used some ungodly thick spec oil they got for dirt cheap and toleranced the oil pumps accordingly. I've never had a problem with a crank, but JD and rob have both seen the issues on 7m's and first gen 3s motors. Blocks are stout as fuck.

So a st205 bottom with a 165 top is the ticket?
Yeap or just keep the whole ST205 just to simplify things. :noel:

Technically not sure if the cooling/oil passages are the same. I assume they are. However tvis is a vac clusterfuck. Probably better to just throw some cams in an 205 motor

D15 and 10lbs!
-
I'd talk to mr2guru. He's the 3s king.

JD still has the highest stock block record if I recall right.
-
fuck yeah! How did you find a 2g 3sge in a parts yard? I didn't know we got them state side.
-
if it says yamaha on the timing cover its a swap. Toyota hid the fact that yamaha made their performance motors in the US.
