Title: Redline issue
Post by: crxvtec91 on June 02, 2012, 10:14:54 PM
Ok so I been having this issue and seem to figure out what it is. 93cx hb, vitara setup, was tuned last year on e85. Park the car for the winter time, pulled it out about a month ago, car starts and runs fine but is redlining 1500 rpm short.

Tried another chip and ecu, check and clean all the grounds, replace speed sensor. The only thing that work was replacing the speed sensor. It drove fine for a day and now its redlining short again. Tried another new honda speed sensor and nothing, which leads me to believe it has nothing to do with it. No cel are on.

Dizzy, cap, and rotor are new Honda and about one year old and less the 3000 miles.

Maybe the ECT sensor isn't reading right or is broken. Most ems's will give you a lower redline for colder coolant temps unless you change it.

in your ecu do you have one of those two timer zif sockets where you can run two chips in one ecu?
