Title: fuel pum?
Post by: jdmhatchracer94 on June 21, 2012, 12:59:52 PM
Okay took the walboro out put in stock pump not the fuse keeps popping? Pump is wired 10gauge from fuse panel to pump. With the walboro I had 10gauge from the stock plug to pump now its just stock. Is the stock wiring just to small to handle the 10gauge?

Most likely yes. Wire is to small. You should have ran 10gauge from battery to relay, relay to pump and use the stock wiring to trip the relay.

I doubt its the 10 ga, you have a short somewhere.
Is this stock pump any good?

Don't forget an online fuse between battery and relay.
And run another 10 ga from pump back to engine block for ground.

It is fused I'll pull it back out and change wires hope it works. Pump is fine pulled from running car

The walbro draw 15 amps at most, the stocker will be half that. Even 18ga will handle the walbro for a time with a 20A fuse.

If both are blowing fuses, you just have a short somewhere. Does it blow instantly, or randomly? If random, does it idle fine but then blow when you drive it?
