Haven't been here in a while. Finally found a full-time job that leaves 0 time for wrenching. I'd rather come home and lounge because I'm old. Me and the wifey traded in our Miatas for an 2008 RX400h (her's) and a 2006 IS350 (mine). It has some get up and go and drinks gas like it's wine and it's an alcoholic. I just hope it never breaks.

It's a Lexus - they rarely do, but when they do the dealer rapes you like it was 5 repair jobs.
They wanted $700 for my sister's IS300's rear right shock. An OEM shock is ~$200 and its an hour of work with just a jack and wrenches. I put lowering springs on 2 IS300's so I know.
Oddly enough, their air filter/oil change prices are decent. Just make sure they DO change the filters, they usually don't on my sister's car. "But they LOOKED good..."

When I saw the IS I remembered a certain low budget turbo build Yuri did for a friend.
Love that build and the response the IS forum had about that. :noel:

Exspensive toyotas are nice.

It needs a new rear-view mirror. Luckily it's only ~$900 at the dealership.

Get one that glues to the windshield like an older Civic style. It's just a chunk of glass and maybe a 12v wire...
