Title: TrackTec 111 octane race fuel?
Post by: 92CXyD on April 21, 2009, 07:32:25 PM
Has anybody use this fuel?

Being leaded if I use this with 91 octane fuel (50/50 mix) do I need to take the catalytic convertor off or mess with my o2 sensors?

I can buy this locally for $6.00/gal.

i can buy 104 for 4.25/gal last i looked

I can not because I have drive to Denver to get any decent pricing on race fuel.

Usually at the drag strips I can get 104 or 105 for around $5.00 but I have to drive over 150 miles to a decent dragstrip. ;D

if it contains lead(likely will), converters and O2s don't agree

Yeah I was looking up TrackTec fuels and found 105 ul I'll and see if my local source has it or can get it at a reasonable price.

I'm also thinking about one these "brews" : www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/octanebooster.html (http://)

because I can get xylene for next to nothing.

If you're looking for cheap high octane fuel why not use e85?

B/C Wyoming is a oil state we do not use e85 to get e85 to would cost more than racegas.

Plus I do not beleive in using almost 2gal. of e85 to get same power as 1gal of gasoline.
