ditto - it's an awesome show. Definitely not a show you can just jump into though. At the beginning of every season they have like a 1 or 2hr preview that sums up the previous seasons.

Sorry to break it to you but tonight's episode is just a recap, next week there is a new episode: "The Variable" which should explain a lot more about time travel. It parallels the episode titled "The Constant" which is one of my all time favorites.

I'm not sure. I believe that the original inhabitants of the island (who built the statue and temple) were descendants of or actually Egyptian, and Richard Alpert is one of them. I'm still not sure why he doesn't age though.

This isn't a show you can just catch a few episodes and enjoy. IMO, it has steadily gotten better and better from the beginning although there was a bit of a dull spot in the middle of season 3 or 4, I forget now. The current season has been amazing, can't wait to see "The Incident"

same here, i missed the begining half of the 1st season , then tried to watch and episode. and it didnt make sense, so i waited untill 3rd season about started, then used the good old bit torrent to get them all.
then i was hooked.
shit, i converted the first 4 episodes to dvd format and gave a copy to my friends who hadn't seen it, now they all love it. we have lost parties n' shit. good reason to get drunk and high on a wed. night.

oh and, ya mid 3rd season kinda sucked
