Title: Car runs till gets hot
Post by: d-rail on April 22, 2009, 04:10:49 AM
My buddies bone stock 92 accord lx will start and run great whenever the cars cold but once it gets hot it'll stall. Sometimes it will last a couple minute and other times it'll last for a half hr. Just depends on what kind of mood she's in. I've got a couple ideas on what it is but we arent sure.

does it start right back up or do you have to wait a few minutes before it will fire back up? and if it does start does it die a few seconds later and then not start for a few minutes?

I take it there's no CEL? Stick the paper clip/jumper wire in there anyways and make sure that you don't have a CEL

IAT or ECT

I'd guess some sort of sensor with my limited knowledge.

Doesn't the car switch from open-loop to closed once the car is at operating temp?
