Title: Nissan engine management poll
Post by: Joseph Davis on April 24, 2009, 11:46:58 AM
The dual chip (Ostrich) thing is kind of sucky, but honestly the last S14 I tuned I yanked the chips the old fashioned way.  9 burns and I was done, good sirs, the car ran very well.

Send me some NisAnd because I'm an intellectual being, , Vee-nog.  I've a pile of S13 boards, and a schematic I came up with for S13/S14 jumper selectable daughterboards.

JD you know of any way to chip or reburn chips in an older 2.5rs??(1999)

my brother got a pooparu and we made a decent RHMT set up but will need to tune it, besides safc,E manage is their any other options?

only reason im askin this here is that i've been told that the 90's suby's and s13 or s14 run a similar ecu?

Somewhere in 98-99 a number of Subarus became flashable, consult openecu.org for specific details.

Local guy has a 98 2.5RS with an EJ22 block and turbo stuff on it, I know that year 2.5RS is not flashable and I've been meaning to  check into early WRX ECU swaps but I don't know.

As for chips, most ECUs are but they seem to be surface mount miniature shit.  And, once you get the code, what do you do with it?

I'd like to see JWT get some serious competition, and not some bullshit where you have to send in teh ecu.  Daughterboard DIY Tuning Solution sounds tits.  We might even have to start making sidefeed injectors for them, show Dietz a thing or two.

1) Is there money in it?

2) Can you do it for profit and quickly?

3) Will people use it?

4) Where the fuck is JDSAP option?

No.  I dislike fragile, poorly designed drivelines manufactured by a bankrupt company of liars and shylocks that sue people for fairly owning a website address.  I've had numerous discussions with Robb about how they need to go under with, and possibly before, GM.  I have no intention of helping make anything past an R34 affordable, sorry.
