I got an issue with my car that's driving me mental. I can't figure this stupid shit out. It's a d16z6 with nothing but aftermarket guts but I have a stock ECU on it. It will not rev past 4600 RPM now. I can't figure it out. Hears a video of it. It doesn't sound like it but it's actually bouncing off a rev limiter here.

Injector grounds? Bought my 83 supra doing some shit like that for $300, turned out the injector ground was loose

Theirs no check engine light and the car runs great till about 5100 rpm then it hits a rev limiter I've changed the ecu in it before with the same results.

Maybe swap another dist on the car.

I had the problem when I did the DPFI-MPFI swap, turned out to be a bad ECU
I would also look at the TPS sensor and wireing

When I get back from Ft. Gordon, Georgia I'm gonna have my buddy bring his distributor, ecu, and wiring harness and start going through the thing. Thanks for the suggestions guys

Also clean all your grounds

I think all my grounds are new. I've replaced 3 for sure but I haven't touched the ones on my thermostat yet.

thats the one that causes wierd problems with the ecu and blows fuses etc

also make sure you have correct fuel pressure. if you have a walbro tank it will want atleast a 1/4 tank of gas or it will run like ass or not even run/start
I hope you have a fuel pressure gauge they are cheap and a great tool to verify you have correct pressure etc. Nice little tuning tool also if you max out your injectors on stock pressure and you have an adjustable fpr crank that bitch up and vroom mo powa

I haven't changed out the fuel pumps yet. Been wanting to do one thing at a time and get things figured out before i start pulling more shit apart

check your fuel pressure

put fuel pressure gauge on checked ok, changed ecu, distributor, engine harness which sucked doing but still had same issue. WHAT THE HELL?!!!

have you checked if the timing belt is on right?

I've already tried that and i cranked it to 65lbs and all it did was run pig rich

ECU is not throwing any codes. Put my ECU on my buddies car and it ran fine. I'm gonna switch all my sensors out on my intake whenever I put my ported intake and throttle body on it tomorrow.

Dude change the ect to it's one of the few sensors that can cause that shit.
