Title: faggy vtec problems

92 prelude with a edm f20b dohc vtec. I'm getting a code 22 which is the vtec pressure sensor. I tried the trick of bypassing the sensor but I just gave me a vtec solenoid code 21. Is this engine supposed to have a single wire vtec solenoid? Also this is on a usdm p13 ecu.

Look at the solenoid, most likely you have junk in the gasket/filter.  :noel:

As for the rest not completely sure.  :-\

Cool ill check that out tomorrow and report back. This is my first problem with vtec engaging and also my first gaylude, so all I can go by is the retarded prelude forums which all the thread end up people just asking about how much swaps cost

If you can define exactly when the code pops I can help.  But, agreed, check solenoid screen first.

I bought it from a guy in the fluffy crew for 41 cheese burgers. On a side not vtec seems to be engaging even with the code 22
