I know. I ordered a few before Christmas from CTD then they refunded my money saying they were out of stock. Christmas cleaned the bank account pretty good. Timing couldn't be worse. I plan on back ordering a few when my bonus hits though. CTD is just pissing me off with their pricing though. $600 is flat out retarded.

The only way prices will go down and stock will return is if the assault rifle and high capacity magazine ban gets struck down...which I do not see happening. Get on backorders while you can because it may be your last chance to get them at any reasonable price.

A few of the ARs I've built were less than $600, that's off the shelf AK price range. However I built them before this huge gun ban scare, when parts were actually available. if you're jumping on the bandwagon now, you're pretty much fucked.

Want something semi auto for cheap, that shoots cheap ammo? Get an SKS. A little on the heavy side, but they are un-fucking-breakable and can be had for cheap. Aftermarket pistol grip stocks are available, as well as 20-30rd mags.

I have an AR now and I am fine with that. Just wanted a few more Mags. Wish I had got my hands on an AK Prior to this. meh, keeping my fingers crossed that somebody fucks fienstein in her eye socket.

Rare earths will go up silver is going to stabilize because its useful in electronics mfg. Stocks of med and tech companies are going to go up in the us. Dumb shit will once again become expensive and sought after.

Oh? How is it going to do that. With a quadrillion derivatives out there it means A) WW3 B) Abolish all debt & start over C) Continued downward spiral of the economy resulting in increasing cost of rare earth metals. It is currently in a fake bull market.
A standard observation shows most of the world markets rallying/continuing to grow at a modest pace. With the Europe debt situation, the US fiscal bullshit (more importantly the artificial quantitative easing the gov is supplying that's fucking the debt situation) China' increasing inflation rate and more or less un-reliable manufacturing numbers. Japan's slowing economy, and finally Britain's recession; it is very hard to think that there is any chance of the market doing anything but going down!
In saying that Markets are controlled by humans which and ultimately very predictable, this year the US will come up with some BS fiscal cliff plan the markets will rally. Everything will look great until May (that's when historically the markets rise till) Then the Europe thing will implode the markets will drop but who knows how low and for how long? It SHOULDN'T happen that way but if I was to bet on something that's what I think will happen
Rare earth metals may drop in the early future (probably not). But guess what, there is a reason why we are raping Africa for it right now, because it is becoming increasingly rare.

Markets will rise then drop in May (high probability). Rare earth metals will increase. Possibly WW3 after Syria falls and increasing pressure is put on Iran over State owned central bank (like Libya for instance although there was a few reasons more like trading Gold for oil) *EDIT* It is going to get ALOT worse before it gets better

It got as worse as its going to get 6 years ago. The midwest is kicking shit out at epic speed right now. Theres still some stragglers and businesses who shouldnt have made it, but as far as im concerned the shit is over. It started here waaaaayyyy before 2008 and the auto workforce has mostly respecialized and we have shitloads of small firms making all kinds of shit. You guys wont see it on the west coast for a few years.

If all they did was go "POP!" in my ear and give my shoulder a kick, I'd put the money towards a vacation. If I could ride the bullets, I'd trade all my cars for guns.
There's so many more things that kill more people than guns. An unlocked medicine cabinet is 100x more lethal to kids than an unlocked gun cabinet. For every 1 killed by a gun (including gang bangers), 4 kids are killed by someone else's meds.
Hell more kids are killed on buses because they don't have seat belts.
