Title: my 82 ford fairmont
Post by: denmah on January 08, 2013, 07:24:31 AM
originally a 79 with a turbo 4.8, i wrecked the car after it spit an axle and i spun it out
here is the 82 i built immidiately after the wreck, then i put a 5.3 and a larger turbo on, lots of changes in only a few months.

day i bought it, 68k original miles one owner

Awesome

Why did ya stick with 8.8 and not a ford 9"?

I have a Mustang GT and thinking of converting rear disc, and I keep seeing people doing 5-lug conversion.

How come you didn't do the 4 to 5-lug conversion?  :noel:

I love it! I really like how it's all done on a low buck budget. What are u using for engine management?

Shit that limping old fuck is the reason we blew up 2 trans, he refused to lay down enough water for us. BTW Island doesnt really care if you run 10's with out a cage, but when you running high 9's they ask you to slow down :noel:

How close is island drag way to you?

the 8.8 drops in stock, its cheap and light.

the 9 inch is expensive and heavy and i would have to get mounts and shit to swap it in.

same thing with the 5 lug, why swap, 4 lug works great.
