Title: 700r4 help!!!!!
Post by: jdmhatchracer94 on September 22, 2013, 11:17:12 PM
So i have a 90 silverado  with a 700r4 4x4. Now the problem is the fucker holds the gears ways to long around 35-40 before it come out of first gear. second around 60. Never had a problem with it till recently. there is no slippage or any signs of shit coming apart. Just what the hell would cause this?

p.s.
was told it could be the throttle valve so already changed that and added a tci shift kit and it changed nothing.

Did you try giving the tv cable some slack? beyond what the shit kit says?

You replaced the throttle valve itself..was the old one worn? was the valvebody bore worn out?

If you say yes, no, no..then I'd check for sticking weights on the governor or governor feed screen for blockage..or possibly a worn out boost valve in the pump..i'd watch line pressure while idling and driving around
