Hasport Hondata Insight car #2010 Crashes at El Mirage Nov '13 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McJJeukIWSA#ws)

I remember TJ correcting him on the Hybrid board, back in the day. He took it well. Always the sign of a good dude.
-
They went over 200 the day before. It rolled at 170-180.
That says a hell of a lot about the required safety gear plus the fabrication ability of the hasport crew in putting all that safety gear together. I saw on FB that he was only a little beat up and was posting on FB looking for another insight the 2nd day after the crash.

wow......
Any idea why the car turned sideways?
-
Daily news site said it was 209 so thats what I posted.

They said the memory cards in the onboard cameras didn't survive. They have no idea what caused it.
Watching that video leans me towards a good gust of wind kicked the ass end out or lost a tire. An insight would be like a weather vane I'm sure with all the wright in the front. The back tires are probably doing almost nothing at that speed.

Bumpy surface or a rut, was not wind gust.
176-178 when it went around, BrianG the OG went 200.9 the day before to get into the "Dirty Two's" club, aka above 200 mph.
He went out first in his class due to having points lead. After his incident as well as others that day the lanes where moved around for a smoother surface.
As soon as it stepped out he got off the gas. The sound on the video doesn't reflect that due to the approx .7 miles away the camera was from when it started, do your doppler math on it.

Anyone that can take a hit like that and walk away NEEDS to go play the lotto!
-
Getting off the throttle might have been his biggest mistake that day.
