Title: Way to fix slick sidewalks? Cement guys?

The house I bought last year has new sidewalks that are dyed and shaped to look like stone
They look great but with any water or especially snow they're like ice skating

Any top coating or other methods you guys recommend?
Aside from the obvious grinding the top layer off, that seems like it would be a ton of work to look half decent.
