Friend of mine bought this for $500, it was gonna be on one of those internet TV shows where a wanna be star drives it and gives his 2 cents of how good or bad it is and compares it to other cars he doesn't own. <-- long story short, said TV people couldn't get it across the border...
Same friend then found a 1G integra, and since this was already stored in my garage I bought it for $500 from him...

I'm gonna replace the muffler, tires get it aligned and drive it.

Holy crap where have you been? :noel:

1G love!

Need a doch zc.
-
just watched that video yesterday... was disappointed. wanted to see more crx... :-\

I sold my GRM Civic... sold my S197 mustang, GS650 and my 2001 chev 4x4 step side
Bought a 2013 F150 5.0 becasue it was cheap as hell to lease and wouldn't constantly piss fluids on my driveway like the chev and break every week. and I bought a Porsche 964 (foolishly) that ended up needing a motor and that shit wasn't cheap... I could have bought a new civic for what the motor cost me... POS Nazi revenge mobile.

I also got my corvair up and running finally after 10 years

Holy shit, I actually just watched this. Thank Jebus I saved it from 2 bald poo pushers one with a Cain and a fuckin scarf. I hate these pretentious no nothing journalist wanna-be's.
Ordered rotors, pads and flex lines, fund some Teg torsion bars. car already has some tokico HP's on it and some no name springs. Friend of mine had one of these with Mikuini's... so badass
-
i got 2min in and had to stop. those guys are faggots with no mechanical ability and try to make jokes about mechanical things with their Car & Driver knowledge.

matt is actually not bad

T25 from a Saab.. on the hunt for a HF mani.

found a manual boost controller, couplers and I think a Talon side mount.
-
Nice DD choice.
HF manifold won't fit the EW4/D15A3 motor if I am not mistaken. You'll probably crack a piston down the middle under power... they did that a bit while stock.
-
That corvair is sick.
Slapping this kit together in a minute! In for it
-
Google D15a3 turbo and guess what bald headed asshole keeps coming up saying you can't do it due to shitty pistons. thats why I bought this.
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi31.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fc379%2FJmccreery%2F_57_zpsb0ac7983.jpg&hash=3a8f89503d0d583e4ef9cdae4a56f78bd706ed12)
That wont make power because the stock valve springs wont support the rev range, the cam doesn't move enough air and the valves are to small.... blah blah blah... It was $23 so eat a bag of dicks.
yep, it was $23 ...shipped.. from a 600CBR so I am not flowing enough air.. and I have no idea how to tune it.
the last week I patched 4 floor issues, mig'd , seam sealer...etc...ect.. I have a full poly kit, re-dyed the carpet and got some sweet 2 piece SSR wheels for $100
Put in an alpine tape deck and a pioneer equalizer... been daily driving the 911... and life is good
party on
-
hey you fag are you still in ktown? I will tune your shit for you if you bring it down to ajax.
-
I had a first gen years ago. It made for a good DD, felt like a go-kart :noel:

Even after the poly shift bushings it still shifted like a dumptruck... the problem wasn't the bushings, but the coupler at the trans.
The solution..
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi31.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fc379%2FJmccreery%2FIMG_1037_zps1e162287.jpg&hash=1b4f148ad17c352ab95f6c21d9c08fb9cd3f0245) (http://s31.photobucket.com/user/Jmccreery/media/IMG_1037_zps1e162287.jpg.html)
a steel bushing from a poly bushing... Heated up the coupler, froze the new bushings and put em together.. shifts tight as hell now.

friend with a miata offered up some 14" wheels for $100.... his comment "they are cheap knock offs"
Well.. I got them home with 10 coats of brushed on paint.. Long story short - they are SSR wheels , 2 piece wheels.. Date code is 1990, stripped the paint, new bolts on the way... still need to polish the lip
Money

08+ CBR600 orange injectors. 275cc, atomize like a dream.
Hey! I have a set of NIB Konis for a 1G.
-
Added an old momo wheel I had kicking around, Cleaned up all the Vac crap on the motor and hid a lot of little boxes to make it look cleaner. 1 SSR wheel refinished , 3 to go. Ordered new bolts for the wheel halves as well.

anyone tried an EG exhaust on a 1G? With the cost of ching chong exhausts on ebay seems like a better plan then cobbling together shit

Doesn't the muffler exist on the driver side with the muffler parallel with the bumper?
92-29 civic the exhaust exits out the passenger side of back bumper.
You would have to cut and weld and then notch the rear bumper to have the exhaust exit the same way as the "EG" :noel:

That will work, you will probably have to cut and weld in two spot to shorten, it should work. :noel:

Just need to replace a wheel cylinder and bleed the brakes.. Track day on monday. Used a Fiero front sway bar in the rear (23mm) with bushings from a pathfinder (poly) and endlinks from my old S197 ... Very :mexi:
Borrowed some Kosei wheels, got some Free RA1's
ended up building my own exhaust.. uses a pypes M80 silencer I had lying around, walker single in dual out, some shitty bends... and off we go. No cat needed.
Still need to drop the front

Good thing you didn't get is one. I bought one with plans to modify it for my 87 crx.. The pipes are about 2.38" od, and at one point, they choke down to 2" where the axle back meets.. Who the fuck does that? Even though its built for a 2g crx/4g civic, the piping after the muffler has a weird angle up.. Which has to be cut off and rewelded. Other than that, it's pretty darn close to fitting.
Also, I test fitted a 92 civic exhaust.. This bolts up to the crx, but you just need to modify the axle back.. The whole mid pipe looks like its the same from 84-2000 civics
-
Fuck that reminds me of my 1g CRX. Cept mine was silver. Shit looks good
-
Didn't make the track event and took the 911 instead (Would have rather taken the CRX)
Went to put it on the trailer 50 min later and it won't start. Not even a sputter, not even with quick start...
I know I made one major mistake in Devac-ing (black box toss) and not keeping the sensor (MAP I think) but i would think that even with a bad or missing map it would run.
What I've checked
- Fuel at the rail
-Pump primes
- Timing is right
-Plugs are fine
Any ideas?
-
Plugs are fine as in you have spark? Or they aren't fouled?

Loose ground?
I had a similar issue where I put my car on the dolly, went to restart it 10min. later and nothing.
Does it crank over at all?
