Title: If a guy has a car and a pink slip in Cali but its not in the sellers name?

Where does a guy go from there? Guy seams legit, said he got it from his buddy and its been sitting in his driveway for two years, hasn't heard from his buddy in the same time

Did the buddy sign off on the title? Has it been registered in those 2 years? Does he have the original bill of sale between him and his buddy.

Signed title + bill of sale with sellers name is all you need in VA.  Seller doesnt even have to be the one on the title.  But this is VA not Commiefornia.  PA has a weird policy where it takes 2 or 3 weeks to transfer a title out of state with notarized shit.  CA is probably more complicated because CA
