A keeper failed and decided to drop the valve and piston+valve=MAYHEM. So i had some time on Monday to do some work. I moved the battery to the trunk and started doing a small wire tuck. Not a crazy wire tuck, but just cleaning it up a little. You can also see the kinda work bench i got on military housing.

Right now, I say it's a work in progress. I will have some time today to finish the wiring, and I'm trying to get the block out tomorrow. Only problem is I don't have a engine stand or engine crane. It's going to be done with man power.

If you have a jack and some tires I've seen people lower the whole car down to where the engine is sitting on the tires,  and then a piece of 4x4 wood stuck behind the engine across where your feet would be in the car and shove the jack under the 4x4 you can jack it up high enough to pull the engine out.

This how I've down all my civics except I use a couple of low profile jack under engine.  :noel:

I have two jacks and have some wood, I think we are just going to do it that way. Also did about an hour of work finishing the battery, all the wires under the passenger side and ran the three to the starter, and fuses. In Washington we have a pully in the rafters and pully it out and in lol.

Well the valve train is still usable. I bought more to replace the ones that went bad. So it's going to be mostly a bare head when I'm done with it

Not really going show car crazy, but i thought about tossing the ABS shit. I had sometime today while the wife went out with some friends for dinner. I ported the exhaust, and took apart both heads. Now i will take it and clean it at the on post skill center tomorrow.

Not yet.
The German shop i took my block to, doesn't like Americans and he took 4 weeks to do my block. After installing everything i noticed my piston in number one was offset. I took it apart and come to find out i twisted the rod. I should have the rods here by Wednesday and then i can have it running by Friday. I have finished all the electrical, the block is in the car and the head is finished.

You should have paid his ass in american nickels. Then told them they're from your uncle's nickel slots in the whore house he has in Vegas. Tip: cover them with honey first.

I'm stationed in Katterbach Airfield.

Kool, my family never got stationed that far east, we mainly stationed near Frankfurt and Mainz or north near Bremerhaven.

Keep in mind I lived there during the Cold War, where we had sort and medium nuclear tip missiles to out at in our back yard.

To this day I still miss hearing A-10 thunderbolt 2 and F-15s flying over our housing areas.  :noel:

So i put the cams in and started on the electrical and ran all the hoses, but then the snow started and we are currently at 2 inchs and the weather is calling for a little more. Plan is still to get it all done tomorrow.

I will post some pics up today, but its not done. Everything is installed i have the valve lash left and i need to put all the fluids in the car. I would be able to work on it more if it wasn't 25 degree's outside and then 20 mph gust.

As you can see i got a lot done today. Now i would have finished if w didn't need to go to the emergency room. Pregnant wife was freaking out for something that's normal. First kid and she freaks out about everything. By the time we got back it was dark and i need a nap before i watch the Superbowl, since it starts at 1230am. Hoping to get a few hours of sleep and i will finish it tomorrow. (heard that before) I plugged the battery in and there were no CEL codes. That's good.

Left to do:
Tighten crank bolt
Valve Lash
Turbo Vac hoses
Tighten the timing belt
Finish wiring the MSD
Fill with fluids

But it's  running? Way to do work and get it done!!! I've done all new brakes/lines/disk brake conversion on a my truck (64 ford) into the wee hours of the morning when it was 19° outside and I was sitting on concrete and I could feel the heat literally getting sucked out of my body.

its been around 25 here with 10-20 mph winds, and the non stop snow wasnt really helping. It is done now i need to do some tuning and figure out why my computer isn't datalogging and my lc-2 isn't seeing the o2 sensor
