Pulled this off of a local FB list.
Hello, This is <*****>! He was born here in Asheville. Unfortunately he has a huge list of issues stemming from a bunch of unidentified genitic issues. He can only injest pears for example. Reciently he started brusing like crazy. Now I don't know a lot of medical stuff but his platelet count has not been over five for several days, he's been bleeding from his mouth and nose and he's having problems requlating temperature and heart rate. His mother needs to be with him and his father has to miss work to stay home with their other two children So they're not bringing in a pay check. They're beautiful amazing HARDWORKING people, high school or college sweethearts who have three beautiful, yet tragically all posessing one genetic disorder or another, children, and they work so hard every moment of every day to fill their lives with intense love, they even homeschool. So please, please, if you have it to spare do. These are truly some of the most deserving people I know.
Alright. I know you want kids. But after the first genetic anomaly you need to think hard about adopting the second kid. To have three, one whose life is going to be so short and shitty? I feel fucking awful for the kid but think his parents are stupid.
Any counter arguments? Moral, logical, emotional, all good. Aaaaand... go!

Is this kid Rick Ross? Only ingests pears? wtf? lol I'm with you. I could see trying for a second, he could come out fine. Then when it doesn't, you don't keep trying for a third when the other two are already fucked up, complete idiots. Now they can't afford the kids, time to take donations up!

I agree. 1 kid, damn that sucks. 2nd kid, well looks like we're done trying to create our own. Time to adopt if you want more. I mean come on., 3? Really?

What kinds of problems do the first two have? We talking very minor things or something worse? As a parent I only want to best for my kids, if my sperm wouldn't allow that then so be it, fix the problem.

If taking care of the frist two kids was a full-time job for one of the parents, a third kid should have been out of the question regardless of the genetics lottery. But people in love do horribly stupid things.
As much as I feel bad for the kids, my there's too many out there for me to take any financial interest in them. Besides, I think half of them are scammers. I know a childhood friend who had a sick kid - needed a transplant or something. The guy had a very high management job at his dad's company (essentially 25yrs of promotions given to him), his wife had a good job, and all grandparents were rich - one set paid for their 3k sqft house. Essentially they could afford the best healthcare. Yet...he set up these donation buckets all throughout the area. Turns out he banked 2x what his medical costs were and the kid got better.
The best part? The buckets were left out for nearly a year after, collecting money to help him buy his new CORVETTE. Or at least it paid for the Z06 option he added.
