So i received a new ecu since my last one went bad. I was comparing them and had some questions. Trying to figure out what things need to be jumper-ed and what needs to be cut. (minus J10 and the 20 pin connectors and 28 pin stuff.) Like on one the RP 18 is jumped and the other isn't, and same with J1. I know j1 goes the cel stuff, but does it need to be jumper-ed or resistor-ed.
Going into a GSR with vtec lol

J1 tells the micro to look to the external chip for it's program, instead of the on board memory. J1 cut or removed = stock ECU program.
MT ECUs have a jumper wire (resistor with single black band = fancy jumper wire) across RP18 and nothing across RP17
AT ECUs have resistors across both RP17 and 18.
An AT ECU will default to MT if RP17 is cut. While not the way the MT ECUs came from the factory, it works.

thanks JD, electrical isn't really what I'm good at. Just now starting to get into it.
