Title: Bought a family truckster
Post by: Whitey on April 10, 2015, 07:42:23 PM
Well it's official.  The old lady is knocked up so I had to get a family friendly vehicle.  The wife wanted an MDX but I thought they looked like a minivan with a chrome beak.  So we ended up getting a Cadillac SRX AWD Performance addition.  At least now I can do Seinfeld references all day.

I never thought I would like an SUV but it's actually pretty cool to drive.  Has all the bells and whistles, setup for drunk drivers where the seats vibrate if you start veering left or right  and has the cooled glove box

Should have got the mdx, sell that thing before the warranty runs out.

I was looking at those but when we bought our suv, we ended up getting a trailblazer. Been a pretty Rock solid rig.

My cousin bough one of those small gm suvs (don't recall the name of it but it was fwd until tires slipped and then kick in the rear tires) but it was the chevy version of what u just got. Pretty much fell apart. But then again he pretty much tears all his cars up.

But I like the look of the white and chrome. Like a classy coke mobile.

I like to live dangerously.  The last GM product I owned made it to 278,000 miles with minimal work.  I just couldn't get past the look of the MDX plus you had to put 93 in it for less HP

I had an 93' Oldsmobile DD.  It rides like a Cadillac and I like it.  Whatever breaks I'll fix it.  I figured I'd get some shit when I posted this but bring it on.  I've had enough turbo Honda's to not be afraid of reliability issues.   :mexi:

After driving one of those, I rather drive my '12 Highlander Hyrid base model or better yet a RX 450h or NX model maybe in my future.  :noel:

That Hybrid would change your mind when experience the use of the rear traction motor, insta-torque, and have have pissed of a few moded Diesels.  :noel:

I've worked on them/driven them.
My truck would drag its ass lol. I'm not a fan of over complicated things.
