Title: access hole/panel for fuel pump crx
Post by: MTZ on May 10, 2009, 08:36:44 PM: i am sure i want to cut an acces panel instead of dropping the tank reasons being that those hoses are old and i dont feel like replacing or having to re drop the tank due to a leak but where do i cut????? pictures or method to locate plz

my old pump died on the dyno and I sure as fuck didnt feel like pulling the tank out of the car at the shop. Its a motherfucker on the CD5 chassis'

Ross and I Cut a hole with a phneumatic recipricating airsaw (while still on the dyno) and changed that bitch out
Originaly It was duct taped up.....Ive cleaned up the perimiter of the hole and put a rubber "seal" around the edge to which a fashioned lid attaches to keep fumage and shit out of the cabin.

Post by: glustic on May 11, 2009, 02:12:54 AM: Safest way is to drop the tank and cut a hole where its suppose to go. Use the cover you got as a template. Would suck if you cut a hole in the wrong spot, cut a hole in your tank and or hoses.

Drop the tank before you cut the hole.
