They are like poor man's lobster. That being said, I find lobster disgusting (except as a base for a seafood chowder) but crawfish are DELICIOUS. Some people say it has a bit of shrimp-like flavor to it, but I don't see it. Scott made a post the other day about ordering some shipped to his door, I guess they came in.

I eat catfish sometimes, usually blackened. Not my favorite fish, I like something with more meat to it. Tuna, grouper, mahi, swordish, lin cod (fuck yeah), seabass, escolar (poopfish), etc. Mostly saltwater but trout is really tasty as a change of pace.

on another note between me and my friend we killed 34 carp this last weekend. i wish i had pictures but weapons of choice were;
1. shotguns-i blasted 6 with some 6shot magnums
2. bear hands- we threw several of this fat bastards out on land.
3. my friend found a good beating stick that made him look like a caveman.
4. my flip out pocket knife worked very well in stabing and throwing them out.

if anyone wants to try to cook up carp or knows someone who likes them let me know and i could try and catch a few for you. ive only heard of a few people say that they taste good and they admit that you have to know how to cook them. plus the eat all the baby trout and other fish and anything they can get there mouth around.
