Title: Magizine Scams
Post by: xpert787 on May 14, 2009, 05:04:48 PM
So this nig comes up to my house with this story about how he is working this as a start out of the getto life etc selling magizines. And how I should want to help young people. I ask him how old he is and he says 23, I told him we were the same age not all that young. Then he asks me how I got a house etc, I told him to join the military and quit wasting his time trying to scam people. Then he's like so can I count on you to help me, blah blah. I said no and he left mumbling the word motherfucker. He also said the company he was working with was from Florida, which is were I saw people doing this before when I was at UNF. Has anyone experienced these asshole scammers trying to sell magizines? Hope I don't go outside to slashed tires or some shit for being a dick to him, but scammers piss me off.

i answer the door with one arm behind my back, clutching a pistol.  Its how everyone should answer the door to someone they dont know.

I do it with one arm behind the door, with a 12ga home defender. I like your way better, but Canada is so anal about pistols.

It depends on the "company" they represent, but they're legit.  They've always been  O0 though...

Most the time they know I have a big ass dog b4 they even get to my door. Start to walk up my deck to the front door, dog starts barking like crazy!! Open the door and the dog is always trying to push the screen door open to get out, I hold him back and tell them I dont want what there trying to sell, and they are ok with that and walk right the other way.

They only time I was kinda sketched out, Fucking kirby vaccume cleaner salesman tryed to sell me a vaccum at 9:15 pm one night. I was like what the hell are you doing trying to sell me a vaccume at 9:15 at night? Oh sorry, is there a better time to come back? NO, I dont want your vaccume, and If you come back to my house Im gona call the cops. Because you look kinda sketchy, so get the fuck out of here! And about that time my brother-in-law, comes around the corner asking if everything was OK? (salesman cant see him or the shotgun he was holding) I then said I have it under control, and he can put the shotguna away. By the time I said that I turned around and the salesman was half way down the driveway and couldnt get in his car fast enough.

Cliffs:
Buy a dog + Buy a shotgun = no more sketchy salesman!!

I seriously doubt this guy was legit, he looked like a homeless person, and acted like a liar. The people in Florida were not legit, it was in the paper that people were not getting magazines, and a few were caught and put in jail. I told him this and he was like you have to take a chance, I would rather bet at the casino.

I had a chick come by with kinda the same deal.  Only she admitted the money she earned would go to pizza and beer for spring break.  She was decent looking and pretty cool, I about bought the shit till I saw the price was like news stand price for a subscription.  Then I just told her sorry I couldn't afford it and the Girl Scouts do something like that sometimes, but its discounted.  She was cool with it and went on to the next house.

Had the wife not been home, I'd have invited her in and possibly worked a deal :)

A couple of those faggots came to my dorm room a couple years ago.  Fuckers really have the whole slick-talking down, I didn't know what was going on until they asked me for my checkbook.   I told them to fuck off and then they asked me if I smoked.  They then proceeded to smoke me and my roommate up with some bomb nugs.

Depends on the company, but I doubt its legit.  Last time I asked them for their company name, and did a search on it... found out it was corrupted company that scammed people...

working at a hotel i see em all the time.. kinda feel bad for them untill you actually see the life style they live if you can live like that then more power to ya but once they burn out they end up homeless on the street...

4-6 people sleep per room and split the cost of each room

usually a big ass group of 60++ people get about 7 rooms...

transvestites and homos and lesbians and straight people

lots and lots of fucking drama

lots and lots of fucking drugs

basically they go arround recruiting kids and making up fake stories bout how much money they make

when in reality they make shit for pay but they dont care as long as they pool can order some pizza and pool there money and pick up some beer and drugs..

nastiest people ive ever met in my life most of them niggers and wiggers

and all the hot girls who do it are lesbians...

they got some respectable black people but majority of them niggers

its a dog eat dog enviroment very fucking hostile lots of them carry knives and shit

most of them are cool and have funny ass stories

best thing for you to do is write them a fake check and sign up for a shit fuck ton of mags.. kid will get a big ass bonus and spend it all... then the checks bounce and they deduct the bonus from his paycheck... so he will be fucked.

I have never ever ever heard of anyone anywhere ever getting the magazines they orderd.  Its up to teh kids to actually turn the orders in.  that is not going to happen, they already have the money.

If they are legit, it takes a long time to get your magazines.

I worked for Suncoast for two weeks when I was 18, roomed with a crazy motherfucker named Lance Shattuck and some dude called shut the fuck up (it's like the pull straws when people are hired as to whether or not you're going to be treated like a human being, they hired this guy the day after me and he was never allowed to say a complete sentence from the very beginning).  I spent a week in the Columbia area, a week in Jax, and then they drove us up to ATL (ugh).  The second day there, a Saturday, I was dropped off in Athens (FUCK YEAH) and was drunk by midmorning - nobody was interested in magazines but everybody was cool as shit and asked me if I wanted to drink, smoke, go skateboarding, needed an extra guy to distract some chick's roomate so she wouldn't cockblock, etc.  The second house I went to with a band practicing I said fuck it and took a PBR, chucked the magazine shit in the trash, and never went back to the pickup point that evening.  I spent six days couch surfing at stranger's houses (the cool to wierd ratio for that sort of scenario says nice things about Athens) before I was tired of it and called a friend to come pick me up and drive me back to mom's. I dunno how the place has changed in 15 years but I hope it's still the same town.

I use to work at a restraunt and bar near a fairgrounds I would have to say Carnies are some the scariest, fucked-up people I have ever met.
After meeting some of these guys I have not been to a carnival since.

These carnies would come in quitely selling drugs, buying drugs, by out all of the beer out of the package section.

Steal all the pool balls on the last day and put there used modified balls on the tables.

Steal anything not nailed down.

Damn and some of them I do not think know what a bath is.
