Title: Maine,Germany, Kuwait, Iraq. My deployment so far.....
Post by: hatchboy on May 18, 2009, 06:17:53 PM: The Stop in main was pretty cool, there were about 40 old vet's waiting for us at the terminal shaking our hand's etc and sharing war stories. That was pretty cool i guess.
Had a two hour layover there, then flew off to germany. Hung out there for awhile then got back on the 767 and flew to kuwait. Stayed in 150 man tent's for 2 day's in kuwait, That place fucking sucks balls.

I would rather be in iraq than kuwait any day. Took a C17 today to iraq, got my room etc, happy to be home. Looks like like it did 2 years ago when i was here, the base is a lot bigger now though. Atleast the bathroom's are air conditioned and have light's here. Kuwait was nasty and no lights and outhouses.

Welp, i stole the wife's d40X and have been taking random pictures, so stay tuned for some.
When i get into my actual room in a couple day's, i will have internet in my room so stay tuned for some late night random desert postings.

Nope styaing on this base for the next 6 months. Ali air base/LSA Addar/Tallil air base.
They call it a lot of different things.

MWR is closing like a bunch of bitches, gotta roll

we are south of al asad if i remember correctly. Just southwest of Nasariya and north of Basrah.

That's likely to happen to all of our wives, even if we're in the same country.

On a side note, we just sent my buddy in Afghanistan 5 huge bottles of vodka packaged in Listerine bottles + food coloring. He says he can sell it there for about $100/bottle, lol.

Heres the story, the internet in our rooms, is slow as shit , like 20kb a second slow. so xbl won't work i don't think.

But... I need to try and see if it will, which is where i need some computer help.
The type of internet here is where, for it to work, you have to type a user name and password into there website, you connect to the internet via lan cord from computer to wall. how can i make my xbox use the connection?

Post by: jeffsciv23 on May 19, 2009, 04:26:43 PM: i got stuck in bahrain for like 2 weeks. they made us stay in a hotel off base. the one they sent us to was pretty sick, had like two bars in it and then one of those arab clubs where they pay the russian bitches to dance and sing for them. we had fun, there was hella hookers staying in the hotel too.
