James is good to deal with.......and a fellow GearX dealer!

Yeah, but ZC trans don't have close ratio gears without an Si FD, and the ZC LSD is the last thing on the face of the planet I'd choose to own. Shortly after an acorn LSD out of a cable B16 or JDM GSR transmission, of course.

How does the final drive make any difference how close the gear ratios are?
???
Granted it you just add the ZC 3rd and 4th to an Si trans you have a bit closer 2-3 split.

Gear ratios are dictated at the tire, asshat. Go open up any car magazine, they don't tout "close ratio gearbox" when the final gearing has been rendered identical to an LS gearbox by an overly tall FD.
Also, a "bit" closer? 3.8-->4.25 FD swap nets ~10% power increase at the tires.

Its been relisted.

zc/si hybrid rocks. Just finshed mine. First time an n/a zc made me grin. ;D
Synchrotech/Gearspeed helped me source a good used 3rd gear sleeve/hub for a zc along with a carbon coated 3rd gear synchro. Stand ups guys, great service. Wish I knew they were selling these before I did it all myself.

Excuse me grand exalted dickface, but when somebody mentions a closer ratio, it is generally because the gear splits are closer.
Now,if you want to base it on time needed to accelerate given XXX amount of power, then sure, I guess a closer ratio box could be as simple as a higher (numerically) final drive.

Man and I only posted this cause I thought some people may be interested. I didn't know the LSD was junk.

Ive heard they wear out, but you can buy new parts for them from kingmotorsports.
Are they much different than other oem honda LSDs?
