92 Toyota P/U 106k miles.
Guy brought the truck in and after I determined it needed a rebuild and 2 injectors, he sold it to me for $100, I'm slappin some main and rod bearings, set of used injectors and drive the piss out of it. Possibly boost later.

Sorry the pics are a little big, came straight off my BB storm
Only knocked at first start up and when you rev it to about 3500RPM so I think the crank will be ok.
Had 125 PSI compression across the board, 13% leakdown according to the strap-on checker. But I have seen great running cars show 40% of that tester, so I'm good
Got the Main/Rod/Thrust bearings and injectors ordered. $90
-
I am envious. That, sir, is a solid parts runner.
-
Thats why I jumped on it, reliable as fuck if decently maintained
-
that is worth exactly 100 dollars :)
-
A/C works too
-
Channel it and put it on bags.
-
na, enough of those running around town here, most with gay slogans across the windshield or back glass
Channel, thats OLD SCHOOL :noel: Most lower thier shit
-
My dad used to tell me how they'd channel shit back in his day. showed me some old b/w pics, shit looked bitchin and nostalgic as shit.
-
Nice score. My mates got one with a 2JZ it, the standard rear tubs fit 285x35x19 :noel:. Its great beating evo's and keeping up with GTR's in a mini truck.
-
I thought about doing something like that to a 'rolla. Notch the firewall and set it back. figured it would make a killer street racer.
-
img width=600 works wonders ;)
nice steal
-
ok, I know how to work the images now. Thanks

WTF no pic's???
OP great score!
-
I got luck as fuck, my greedy ass boss man was wanting to snag it and flip it to make $1500, But I nabbed it
-
def a good work truck.
-
Nice steal when I see p'up like that they remind me a little like the episodes of Top Gear where tried kill a 'yota desiel p'up some best testing of a p'up ever. ;D

^^ Thats great!
Nice find there. You dont see em that nice here in wisconsin. Most have bad frames under the box.
Get some new bearings in there and then post some ripper vids :)
-
that yota from top gear was diesel btw.
is that the 22re?
my boss has a built 22re in his 2wd yota. pretty cool if you ask me. haha.
-
Yea, 22RE 2WD Wish it was the diesel 4WD
If all goes well and I can convince my bossman to open up shop next weekend, I'll be driving it the following week
-
I had a 2wd truck like that for my first vehicle. I bought it from my cousin for $800 bucks.
had some kicker subs behind the seat. I drove the piss out of that truck. I wish I never sold it. I miss it.
-
That's exactly what I've been looking for. A light truck daily. Good find.
-
If you need parts, let me know. Guy I work with parts out yota pickups as side work.
-
Will do, got some friends around here with parts laying around as well
-
Any deals on a motor and trans Robb?
Went to throw the bearings in it, found the thrust washers in the pan. Crank's been eatin away at the main caps and block for a while. Trans has no 3rd gear. and the fuel pump is shit.
Fuck I was hopeing for a good deal. A/C blows cold :)
-
Robb's in ATL for a Porsche meeting, apparently he's allowed to go in place of his manager or something.
This was the 2RZ Toyota truck, right? Harry definitely has one or two heads, I wouldn't doubt he has blocks cranks etc.
-
22re. ok, figured I'd ask
thanks JD
-
I just texted the MR2Guru, sir. He says no 22R but he has beer. You should drive up and we'll drown your sorrows.
-
lol, Be a long drive, but likely worth it.
My boss man has a 2_R motor layin in the floor at work, I'll have to ask him what he wants for it (Carb Head). Don't like buying shit from him, he thinks everything he has is gold.
-
Any idea how difficult it might be to swap to the 1L-T turbo diesel?
-
Fuck if I know, drunk. You should have made the drive. We got recession special rum, Clipper (so-so, as a mixer nothing beats Montego Bay) and Cherry Jack (very nice), now I will drink myself into submission.
-
Don't have a car that would make it right now.
MR2 20V burns shift cables and boils clutch fluid, Truck is as stated above, other MR2 needs a fuel pump, (5-7MPG 'stang broke another fucking lifter, sounded like a wristpin, but I'm pretty sure its another lifter)
One of these days, I'll drop by on my way to NY or something if I ever get to go back home and visit/get my shit.
Looks like the non-EFI shit would be an easy swap and I could be riding cheap as fuck on waste oil.
