I'm doinig my best for enviroment by pushing e85 to everyone i know, i don't know if its good for the enviroment or not, but its great to tune with :)

I have said this for years. Same as the new "clean" diesels, they get less then 1/2 the fuel millage then the old ones but are "cleaner", nobody counts for the emisions created when they make the diesel though.

They also measure emissions in PPM, therefore all you do is dillute the exhaust and you have a clean burning car. Thats why so many cars have AIR pumps and other BS. They need to start measuring total emission output if they really want to "help the earth" But its not about that.
Makes me want to go fire up the knocking 'stang and blow some smoke on some priuses

20 year old Hf crx or civic vx for those who want to be GREEN is still the best option. Spend a couple grand and get the car back to almost new and get the car tuned for mpg increase and you
1. Saved a car that was going to be a parts car
2. Thought outside of the box
3. Can be the envy of every person in your neighborhood by proving society wrong
Na mike 65 mpg seems a little much especially with a dohc zc. I use to get maybe 40 on a good day in my crx hf with the almighty zc. Dont say oh my car was gutted great it doesnt have 50 pounds of plastic that doesnt make up for 30 percent increase in fuel consumption

do you hypermile? i got really good at hypermiling, especially in vegas cause all the roads are downhill till you get to the strip.
also i kept my tires over inflated for easier rolling.
the 65 mpg going from vegas to san diego included a few 15+ mile downhills.
going into baker there is a 12 mile down hill. drop that bitch in neutral and you could coast the whole thing.
going down the hill from the high desert at cajon pass. drop that bitch in neutral and you would need your brakes to keep from going too fast. you could coast all the way from the top of the hill, down to the 15/215 split
add all that together with driving 65 on the freeway and that one trip i got 65 mpg.
on avg i got 55 though. this was when i lived in vegas, never tried it in san diego. too many hills and shit
in vegas you could go from 0-40 then coast to the next light or if that light was green you might need a little more gas to get to the one after it.
everything there was either flat or down hill. unless you were driving away from the strip then it was uphill.
also i saw a report on the news about ups out there only making right turns so i started doing that.
that added 1-2mpg to my avg
I don't understand this all down hill concept. Every downhill is an uphill on the way back, no?

Makes me wonder what tire sizes people like this use. Civics don't use GPS for spedo's, its mechanical based on the FD. A larger tire will exagerate MPG's, and oddly enough, the cheap tires (70-80 series) are usually taller. :?:

I hypermill in the Passout. 15 year old v6 and i get like 22 round town and have streched it to 28 or so on the interstate. Im actually goign to change the 107K fuel filter and seafoam it one day to see if i get better.
All the EPA regulations are stupid for cars. My honda Pilot had a window sticker that said 19 mpg. I have yet to see it to anythign less than like 22. I got over 460 miles to an 18 gallon tank on the way to michigan. thats like 26 or 27 right there and I was doing like 80, far from an effeciant speed for MPG. I bet if i stuck to around 60 I'd get an mpg or two more.

Timing chain and guides. It will run like a brand new car. Not a fun job though.
