I am looking at getting a pistol to conceal and carry 99% of the time. What are your thoughts on the G27 and or what do you carry. I know there was a thread on this once but I can't find it.
-
i would think it would be perfect for daily carry. i have a G22 and have been wanting to get a smaller version of it so it would be easier to carry.
-
I was looking at that or the Kahr, but I didn't care much for shooting the Kahr. It shot well, but was really unconfortable. I am going to shoot the G27 this saturday.
-
I like my G19, but having carried a Kahr for 2 weeks, that was easily one of the most comfortable guns to carry.
-
my only problem i have with the subcompact glocks is that if you dont get the mag extension its akward to hold because my pinky hangs past it. i didnt liek them at first then held a friends with the extention and it made a world of difference
-
By the way, if you do go with the Glock, have a competent individual do a trigger job on it. My guy was a CIA R&D guy for a long time, and it made a huge world of difference. Trigger break on it is now like it is on my national match AR

i trust the police to carry

if your going to carry, find something more compact. glocks are to long IMO. my 24/7 compact .45 is an inch shorter than a G30

the truth hurts, i know.

What is that? Is that the Para Ordanance?
-
yea its a para-ordnance p12
-
How's the trigger pull/reset on the PO's?
-
nice, just like any other 1911
-
For some reason, 1911A1's never felt good in my hands. I gotta figure out a wheel gun for the next purchase

There must be something wrong with your hands. :P
Glocks are homo. I don't trust a cocked and... uh... nothing... gun pointed at my nut sack all day long. If you're going to CC then get something that is either DOA, can be carried cocked/locked (1911), or something with a de-cocker. Go read on any gun board about people's ND's, 90% of them are with Glocks. My nut bag is more valuable than the savings on a cheap Glock.
-
You are a fucking idiot. If you don't finger fuck the gun, then it won't go off, doesn't matter what kind of gun it is. 100% of ND's are caused by people who are fucking stupid, the kind of people I could hand an unchambered bolt action and they would still find a way to shoot themselves. Get the fuck out of here, weren't you banned already?

Ut oh, we found a tupperware club fanboi.
What you don't seem to realize is that, in the grand scheme of things, the chances of you actually needing the gun you're carrying are on par with the chances of it mechanically failing an going off. If you're already carrying the gun because of the 1/99999999999999999999999999999999999999 chance of needing it, then why not go the extra mile and eliminate another minisculely probable negative event?
Cost vs. benefit, really, that's what it boils down to. Do you wear a seatbelt? Carrying a gun is badass and all that, I know. I'm just being logical and practical.

this little .25acp colt junior still has a non-working safety and stays 7+1. its yet to fire itself...

Don't jinx it, dipshit. Pocket pistols carried in pockets is probably the #1 way idiots shoot themselves in the leg. By the looks of it that gun is single action. If that's the case, you're really a dipshit and a half to be carrying it with a broken safety.
-
i carry mine in my pocket
-
i carry mine in my pocket
It has a grip safety, probably a manual safety too. Read before you respond. His safety is broken.
No firing pin block + no safety + cocked + jumbling around in a pocket = begging for disaster.
-
based on all your previous pistol posts, you're a fucking moron to begin with.
why dont you lock yours in your safe since you dont know how to handle them...
-
Haha, so you are accusing me of being cheap for liking glocks? And tupperware fanboy? Guess the plastic on my AR's and the plastic stock on my .338 make me a fanboy. Shut the fuck up and think about what you type before you type it. If you have a fucking ND, it is your fucking fault, people that blame the firearms are wrong 99.9999999999% of the time, and just fucked up. I hope you fingerfuck a gun the wrong way sometime and put one through a wall or a tv. Negligent discharges are just that, NEGLIGENT, it is rarely, if ever, the fault of the firearm. If you are that fucking concerned, but a goddamn wheel gun

i shot a .25 acp of dad's once a long ass time ago. truely a 'gut gun'
i personally like most any compact or sub compact S&W 40 cal. but what ever works for you
a big +1 on the glock mag extension for your pinkey. wierd as hell having it hang off

Coming from the guy that carries a cocked single action, with a broken safey, in his pocket. Go ask your homebois on uselesslysmallcaliber.net if that's a smart idea. After a display of stupidity like that, everything else you say is irrelevant.
Go fix your friend's "broken" Mosquito with some correct ammo and someone that doesn't limp wrist it.

you're just jumping to conclusions, me saying i carry mine in my pocket had nothing to do with your post or his gun.
-
and nowhere do i say i carry it, nor do i carry guns in my pocket you ignorant fuck.
the fact of the matter is that gus DO NOT FIRE THEMSELVES.
-
Can we ban him? Nobody likes him.
Seriously, you are a fucking idiot. You don't know shit about firearms, a gun doesn't fucking shoot unless you fingerfuck the trigger. I wish your father hadn't ND'd into your mother
-

So you 7+1 it in the safe and it never goes off? Don't be a retard. My dog never bites anyone. Did I mention I keep him caged 24/7?
No, dumbass, they don't, nor did I ever say they did. I said that most ND's are with Glocks because it's a stoooooopid fucking design. Show me where I said it fired itself. If you want to go down that road, with the striker cocked you're only a failed block away from catching some lead to the cock, but that wasn't my point. Glocks breed ND's like your mother breeds special ed kids. It's a stupid fucking design. Combine it with a stupid fucking user and you get accidents. People DO finger fuck the trigger when they draw and aim under pressure. People DO forget to unload while cleaning and shoot themselves in the and because some reject designed it so you have to pull the trigger to disassemble the gun. People DO snag the trigger and cap themselves in the leg while holstering because there's no hammer to let you know the trigger is being brought back.
Given everything I've seen you post about guns, you ARE a stupid user. I'd highly not recommend a Glock. The OP may or may not be a stupid user. Either way I don't recommend a Glock because their fucking ugly as shit and only comfortable if you have hands like the Hulk.
-
So looks play a part in the effectiveness of a concealed carry weapon? ::)
Guess the SCAR that I got to toy with today isn't a good weapon because it is ugly too. Incidentally, got to play with one of the new Safir .410 AR15's, interesting design, but the fitment didn't seem too good. Might make an interesting deer gun with some slugs. Just wish the price point on anything EBR related wasn't still retardedly high around here. What's everyone else paying for a basic flat top AR locally?
-
AWDstylez, here is something just for you, since you are careless enough to clean a loaded gun or otherwise shoot yourself in the mouth

i cut the barrel on my mosin down to 6"
it conceals nicely
let me guess, every time you fire it you dont have to shave for 2 weeks
-
i carry a xd 9mm sub compact with a mag exstension. small and acurate, worlds better than a glock.

If you think you're above accidents, you're a retard x1000. Enjoy your tupperware. Maybe that unsupported chamber will blow your hand off some day.
Perfectiion Plus what? glock kb (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vceh44UK-8I#noexternalembed-lq-lq2-hq-vhq)

Is it the XD, or the XDM? Nevermind, don't think the M comes in a subcompact. XD series is a hell of a gun for the money. Haven't gotten a chance to fire a subcompact, but the full size ones blew me away quality wise.
-
i also have a full size xd 45 acp, for the money by far one of the best 45's out there. and you cant beat 13+1 in a 45 . its just a bit big for my skinny ass to carry around without it being obvious that im holding.
