i bet most of our garages look pretty much the same LOl :'(
-
Mine is full, but nothing like that. :o
See the rhmt shops thread for pics, too lazy to bring it over here.
-
my 2.5 car garage is clean, has my H-T style civic in it and some spare parts, big work bench, steel shelving for spares. My bay at work is pretty clean to considering the amount of flat rate work that gets pumped out of it.
-
I don't have a garage but half my parents old 4 stall used to look like that until they moved and I had to get all my shit out. Everyone thought I'd have to just give it all away cause of the short notice and thought I'd be pissed. Best thing I did was spend a couple bucks on cheap 2x4's and a couple sheets of plywood. hell 2x3's are even cheaper and work just fine.
I put all my shit in crates, build a frame out of the sticks 4' x 4' x 4' then cover it with the plywood. That way you can pull any side off you want and it will still hold. when I made my frame I put a shelf at 2' high and a honda block just barely fits under it on it's flyweel so I have 4 motors on just the bottom of the first crate along with a couple tranny's and misc shit. I made a simple sheet that showed were everything is so when I need something it's just a cordless drill and a couple minutes away (course my free storage is 40 minute drive) It's amazing what you can fit in 2 crates and then still have a plethora of room and the tops make a nice shelf.
My friends garages look like that or worse though and nothing pisses me off more than when I feel I owe to help them so I take time out of my non existent free time and waste an hour looking for the right tools or pats so we get nothing done.
Edit: hell stop by old warehouses and take the palets they throw out for a base. All the shit around here is rough cut oak and way stronger then the shit studs they sell at homo depot. Tear a couple apart and use a couple good ones for bases. Then your shit is off the ground so it doesn't get fucked with moisture. And you can make it a better height since you use your garage, mine is in a barn and 4' I only had to rip the plywood in half and my shit was ready to throw together. Make it work bench level and have a great place to work on the top, all you engines and shit neatly below.
-
ya me and my dad have some ideas for shelves and storage. It wouldn't be half as bad as it is if there was a cabinet or something to put the small parts in. The more i look the less stuff is there its just all over the damn place and needs organized badly. I moved everything out of the way and have the 4x4 backed up to the door now and I have half a truck load of useless junk so far lol. I should probbly sell some of this shit that we have had for 20+ yr and are never going to use :-\

"si cable trans"
Sell it to me for cheap ;)

I dont have a garage in AL, but the stuff I have at my mom's in NY consumes a 9 car garage, everything from model A parts to three wheelers, snowmobiles, camaros, mustang, engines, transmissions, power tools, machinery, and misc parts. Have no fucking clue how I will ever get it all down here.
-
I use to have a messy garage like that, then I had to move and promised myself to never to do that again.
-
It wasn't messy, it was just alot of shit in not enough space. Messy now, my little brother has likely fucked alot of my stuff up
-
I don't have a garage :(
-
Wish I did here. Been thinking about getting a 40' shipping container to use as a garage
-
type r swaps
lots of k series stuff
-
locks, keys, d-series motors everywhere, car audio shit.
-
Sell me the 400 sbc, the 80 camaro, and the motorcycle for a nice package deal price :noel:

I can arrainge moving services for a portion of your perfectly good shit.
-
I was going to move back up there, My grandfather had a 60 acre cattle farm just outside Buffalo, 3000sq foot barn would have made a perfect garage/shop. Plus it was on a main road. Wish I could afford to get it, 150k is all its selling for.

Umm, go apply for a loan, everywhere. 150k for that shit is ridiculously cheap

Its somewhat in the works, trying to get the wife to find a steady job. She has serious back problems and cannot sit or stand very long.

Dude, I would kill for 60 acres and a 3000sq/ft barn, around here that is around 3 million dollars= something I want but could never afford.
-
that garage looks like a fucking nigger shack. how the fuck do half you fucks work in shit like that. O0
-
let me get the 427 I got one in my nova and want another
-
Holy shit, you need some storage space. Ever think of picking up an old box trailer off a tractor trailer? You could probably find an old one thats out of use pretty damn cheap, then if you ever moved, it would be a simple process?
-

I wish this one was the normal version and not the tall deck truck version. to run it I would need a special intake and dizzy. I want to put it in our 79 gmc 4x4. The 350 is having a hard time moving it 6700lb lol

I thought of that but unfortunately my yard is tiny and there is not enough room for one :(

That bike you found in the woods has come a long ways. Looks good.

Its my girlfriend's 2005 Ninja 250.
-
Looks good Mr. White, but it looks like a garage that you park in, not work on cars/stuff in. My next home will have a garage to park in, and a shop to work in.In the fall - late spring I park my crx and my wifes Trailblazer in the garage every night. Once spring rolls around we park them outside, and the garage turns into a spot to hang out/drink and work on cars.
-
mmmm that banshee's tits.
-
Every diehard squid I know has a showroom of bikes, not a workshop.

The only reason the bikes are in the garage is because I turned their normal home into a paintshop

You are as no much a good and low down durty squid as Sewell's buddy Stuart, who moved to Asheville. He has a paint booth set up in his "shop" so he cam make motorcycles pretty.

So if I would pile shit up like a pack rat on an episode of Cops and park my bike in a pile of shit it wouldn't be squidly? :?:
-
Only if your wreckage contained at least fifteen half completed projects, that is correct.
-
Main floor of my garage...
Project de-rice the rice rocket civic hatch
Wife's bucket of rice CRX.
Riding lawn mower

Dethatcher/sweeper for riding lawn mower
Air compressor (soon to be moved upstairs and hardlined throughout the garage)
Small work bench
2 tool boxes full of "at home tools"
Ash tray
13 sets of dual 4' lights (when I turn them all on my garage lights up like a paint booth)
6 mouse traps
stereo with wired surround sound
and in the winter...my del sol
Upstairs in the garage
Tons of shelves full of nicely organized chemicals/paint/random car parts
2 race seats
6 subs
3 amps
1 cap

Your house is big enough to knock out a couple of walls and increase your garage space man. Just explain to the wife that your "remodeling" the house, and it might be a while before its finished...

Considering the fact that my garage has an upstairs and downstairs and combined they are approx 800 sq/ft I'd say that my garage is big enough for the time being. :)

Sir, you are wrong. You can never have too much garage.

I have to disagree, i have 1500sq ft of shop space, with another 500 or so storage above it, and another 500 ft of garage at my house. All crammed full of shit.
I'm thinking of of an autobody shop equation that tells you how long before you get your ride back, which is to double the amount of time you were quoted, and add 1 in front of it, quoted 2 days to fix, 2x2=4 plus 1 infront of it, so 14 days. I'm pretty sure this could be use to calculate how much space you should have to have adequate room to work, have storage, and of course hang out area, i currently have 2500 of space, 2x2500=5000, add one in front, 15000sq ft. Sounds about what i need to have a proper work area.

Really you guys just wanna move up here where all the fast cars are. :P
-
Stewie keeps critiquing chicks from afar and not walking up to spit game to him. His cousin Davie keeps telling me how he blows hot ones off at the bar. Stuart's had the conversation with me where he's looking for some perfect fantasy land ideal woman for one night only because after that they annoy him, but I suspect he moved back to Asheville for the gay bars (none of those in West Asheville, BTW) because I never see or hear of him with anyone.

I don't have a garage so most of my stuff is in my little appartment. They are clean stuff tho, the dirty shit are at my parents house where there is a garage and a big ugly house :P
Here:

cam shaft
cam gear
set of piston 1
set of piston 2
Forged rod
motor bearing
b20 head in pieces
PR4 computer
slim fan
head stud
Intake manifold
Ampli with sub
I have some other stuff, but they are smaller.
My girlfriend have to love me because most of the shit are in the living room :P

My girlfriend have to love me because most of the shit are in the living room :P
The wife gets irritated when I leave turbos, sawzalls, and car parts in general on the dining room table. I told her she never eats at it, so I need a place to store parts till the shed is done.

He manages to blow off the hot ones when he first gets there, but then takes a fatty home when hes hammered.
-
That's shit he doesn't admit to. :P
