Title: thinking of moving to Kalamazoo???

So I've lived in the suburbs of Chicago my entire life, got laid off 2 months ago and I have a job offer in Kalamazoo MI for Parker making decent dollars, but not great.  I have a mechanical engineering degree, and am working as an aerospace engineer. 

I think I may be bored in a nightlife, partying sense, I know there is outdoors type stuff to do, which is good.

Anyone live there, or know anything about it.  Who was the guy who was thinking of moving there to run his parents winery or something like that.

I've lived there. You have the general idea right. There's alot to do out doors and the lake is really close but there isn't much to do for partying.

Yes Parker Hannefin, I'd be designing motors for hydraulic pumps.  I'll buy you a shit ton of fittings if you find me a sweet job in NC, thats one place I wouldn't mind living.  Not to keen on the automotive industry for work though, I'll keep that for play.

It was Jeff Frank that was moving to run a winery. But it wasn't in MI, it was in WA.

I have a couple buddies that live in kzoo and they seem to like it.
