Never had an issue with the new version. Been using it since it came out. I use a serial datalogging cable tho. It connects EVERY time.

please excuse the link. it basicly searches for all usb-serial drivers and removes them some times an old driver will have conflict with a newer one.  http://www.xenocron.com/install/USB-Board.htm (http://www.xenocron.com/install/USB-Board.htm) scroll down click FTDI clean utility

does it only do ftdi ones?

I think I need to use this but don't want to fuck myself.  I'm tuning machines at my work and each one is set up basically like an ostrich with the ftdi usb-uart chipset.  I plug in one machine that has anywhere from one to 12 of these little boards in there and they're loading on ports like 53, 54, 56... Doesn't bother me till I go to use my car shit and some software only looks for ports <4 etc.  I'm stuck manually moving ports etc I assume I just have a shitload of ports tied up from machines' I've already tuned and shipped?

I just don't want it to fuck all my non ftdi devices
